The difference at practice is that you are simulating kicking in games. Live kickoffs are different. Even placekicks are like hitting golf balls at the driving range. In a game you are dealing with the clock, getting the unit out there, getting iced, and hearing the crowd. You are not even sure you may be kicking depending on the down and distance and the score.Well they do have practice
McManus has had a couple long ones this year. The 2 blocked kicks are not on him. But the two 43-44 yard misses hurt. The only reason the score differential was not bigger in Pittsburgh was not because of Rodgers but due to Boswell, who is an ace kicker for both accuracy and distance. When Luke goes out and hits all 6 of his placekicks including a 61 yarder in AZ people have to be thinking. In Luke's first game he hit a very crucial 4th quarter FG against Cincy that iced the game. It was no gimme. Had McManus been there to miss it Flacco has a chance to come back and beat us.
