I'm down here in Peoria, IL... like dead center for where the strongest went through. I haven't been able to see more than about 50 yards out my back patio window since about 11am today. It's still coming down. Got to see some of what they call "Thunder Snow" today too... Never encountered that. Kinda trippy. Lights up EVERYTHING like a bomb went off because of the snow in the air. Looks pretty spooky actually.

I got pretty much the worst of the Wisconsin snow i believe. I live in Kenosha. Which is in south eastern wisconsin. Here the average is about 2 feet. With some snow drifts ive seen 3 plus feet. We get all the lake effect snow here so that adds a couple inches

This storm has issues. It's hitting Philly as a major ice storm with ice storm warnings in effect for the north and west suburbs and freezing rain advisories for south and east of the city. Right now I could play some serious ice hockey in my drive way if I could skate.

I hope this doesn't bother people traveling to the SB! I don't know of anyone who would be going this early but wherever you are, wherever you are going, just take it slow and travel safe!

It's amazing how big this storm really is and how much it has covered. The last I heard Dallas had an inch of ice! I guess in situations like this, we can be glad they have a dome there. The Packers would look funny playing football on ice skates, so would the Steelers....

    The new Ice Bowl 2011????

Haha, we got a whopping 5 inches or so. However, we got the snow day, which is all that counts to me.

Just remember, don't eat yellow snow or even gold snow! Packer colored snow is not as good as it looks!

Here where we are in Madison.

The storm is over and we made it through the night just fine.
It's a bright sunny ground hog day.
Though it is a bit surreal looking out there seeing the large snow drifts on the land and on our roof tops.

Earlier I went out back to fill the the birds and squirrel feeders. Gotta keep them filled since food is scarce for our backyard friends.
Wore snowshoes while doing so. I suppose it was better than without even though my feet did sink a bit.
We started to shovel our driveway but thanx to a helpful neighbor, he finished what was left with his snowblower.

It's amazing what just one night of snow and wind can leave behind.

Stay warm, stay dry, stay safe everyone who had a touch or a handful of this snowstorm.

And it's still snowing here in Indiana.

I may have to buy a dog sled team before this is over.

4 days of school canceled in Dallas this week. Never seen that in 24 years.
