After 9 seasons. Should've done it 2-3yrs ago when failed in play-offs.
Still stunned. If it was not for the Patriot ascension this season Buffalo would have won that division and had a home game or two.

I know it. The Bills have actually been more successful than Green Bay imo.

Matt should feel pretty good about being extended. I think there’s 3 primary reasons Matt got the nod.

1. We did have a slightly higher than average degree of injury in relation to high impact players. Micah is like 2 starters going down imo. Starting the season without Reed and Watson didn’t help. Kraft pacing possibly the best TE in the league and injuring is a significant loss. Next to a QB1 going out we were in that best group of impact losses. (Maybe not by pure player count but absolutely by impact)

2. The losses were very close. A minor adjustment or two and a different outcome. A large portion of the losses were individual players having poor games. Such as McManus or Rasheed. Yet I doubt any of us would’ve switched those players out for someone else.

3. We don’t have a good selection of potential replacement Head Coach candidates

With all the tears in the locker room after that loss it makes me wonder if the feeling was that HC was gonna get axed if they didn't win it all?

Suddenly the Bills have a better chance of winning a SB in the next few years than the Packers do.

Very true. I had the Packers winning 8 or 9 games in August. When they grabbed Parsons I upped it to 11. The cog was the tie in Dallas that I marked for a loss. And that tie was in part because of a Parsons sack.
Add to it that you do not win championships with the youngest team in the NFL every year. I think Policy is if the belief that our success is built around the roster more than on the coaching.

And for them, it would have meant something. They're 7-2 at home in the playoffs this century, unlike the Packers (particularly under you-know-who)

Just curious, not combative - why do you say that?
I agree with others who think it's just going to be more of the same under MLF - we'll likely make the playoffs each season but finish with 0 or 1 playoff win. So almost 0% chance of a Super Bowl. The Bills' next head coach could be worse, about the same, or he could be better and finally break through. So maybe a 33% chance of a Super Bowl for them.

The "should of" claims are just erroneous. Allen and McDermott remind me of Manning and his woes for years up against the buzz saw that was the Patriots, Mahomes alone is a hurdle which cannot be assumed "should have been" beat. Last six playoffs they've lost to KC 4 times, Cinci and Burrow that they were world beaters and this year Denver (one of the best fronts in the game).

Actually no, they don't have a HC and various other staff positions are vacant. They wouldn't do well right now. :)
True. But having Josh Allen means you are never out of a game. Any HC is attracted to a job with that guy on your roster.

Oh I'm an Allen fan and he is one of around 10 QBs that I feel will always have his team a threat.
