Although I'm only 21, I quite the older songs. So I thought I'd ask what do you guys reckon the best 80's song is?

I nominate The Boys of Summer - Don Henley. I love that song.

    The 1980's......"older" songs????
Me, "She blinded me with science", "Everybody have fun tonight" are 2 of my favs.

I REALLY like the songs of the 1960's though. Almost all Beach Boys songs, and some of the Beatles.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody, dont know what year this song came out, but I truly love it.

The 80's music was the best of all times, brings back some great high school memories for me.

I'm a metal fan and all my friends / family know it. But I have a playlist entitled Guilty Pleasures that's full of 80's pop pap like the stuff PackOne listed.

I think Kids in America by Kim Wylde is my favorite song from that genre. Ooh, and Cars by Gary Neuman...

As a proud Metal Elitist Snob, these are the correct answers:

Judas Priest - any song from either Screaming for Vengeance or Defenders of the Faith
Iron Maiden - Either Prowler, The Trooper, or Hallowed Be Thy Name
    Megadeth's My Last Words
    Slayer - Jesus Saves
Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley or Diary of a Madman
Black Sabbath - Falling off the Edge of the World
Metallica's best song was Damage, Inc. They were done when Cliffy died.

Oh, and I guess we need a ballad in there too (to listen to with the ladies). Ok. These are your choices:
Guns & Roses "Sweet Child of Mine"
    Scorpions "Still Loving You"
Def Leppard "Bringing on the Heartbreak"

If you need to know what Metal you NEED to listen to today (today's Metal is quite good), let me know and I'll steer you in the right direction. If American Idol is your thing, you are already lost.
