Studs: Watson - stretched the field and played w reckless abandon. You cannot lose sight of his value. Golden - young and streaky. Really can add other elements to this offense. Love - his performance was very good overall, but... he has the power to recognize poor play calls at the beginning of the 2nd half and if he knows a more effective version should check out and run the play he thinks works and LEAD. Duds: MLF - the 2nd half playcalling on offense was playing not to lose and being too cautious with a big lead. Holmgren is the anti - Lafluer. He stepped on teams hard when up big. This is now MLF's moniker, cannot CALL a complete game on offense. Bisaccia - vaya con dios McManus - a regular season kicker too...ugh...he was disappointed and he should be. O Line - could not move a D line that was vulnerable to the run at all. Dumbfounded. Officiating - two or three helmet to helmet no calls. Phantom grounding calls. lopsided home cooking. This L is squarely on inept offensive playcalling at the very beginning of half 2. Thats MLF. His seat is hot right now. The replacement options are either known and leary or unknown and worth a look at. I have to keep asking myself what if. You put Parsons Wyatt Kraft Tom Jenkins Lloyd on the field in this game what happens. Patience to get the team intact is how short? 2 years. In that time Chicago is only going to improve IMO. In my gut MLF gets one last pass but the extension should be no more than 3 years. Hafley is a Head Coach why? I think he just showed several teams that more time is needed to elevate his status. Special Teams is atrocious. I see a below .500 team if these injuries to major contributors linger and are given their true recovery time. This loss hurt real bad and the future looks iffy at best next season.
