As much as I enjoyed watching Sanders and as much as he brought something to the game like no other had before him, I have a hard time having any sympthay for him. He could've easily been traded to a team that would've gladly paid to build a team around him.

I think the problem was, he didn't want to be traded. He had a loyalty to those fans, that players in all of sports such as LeBron James never has had.

The best player I ever watched play the game; it is too bad he didn't play out the rest of his career.

Ron Wolfe join in 1991.. do you really think if Ron was there that he would have taken Tony Mandarich over Barry Frinckin' Sanders?
Wolf did pass on Randy Moss to take another lineman, Vonnie Holliday, in 1998. A terrible mistake which he admitted to later on.

Yeah, we passed on Barry Sanders and Troy Aikman for Tony Sandwich.

FAIL
We didn't pass on Aikman though. He went #1 to Dallas.
We took Manwich at #2.
Barry went #3, Derrick Thomas #4, Deion Sanders #5.

Four Hall of Famers, all-time greats. And our guy at #2.

Deion would have been on the first contract out of GB. Love Prime though.

Moss would have been spectacular for about 5 seasons and then he would have gone the way of Javon Walker.

Vonnie was o.k. Moss was, and still is, a sociopath and I'm glad he's never been a Packer. He could have been the greatest receiver of all time if he'd had a brain.
