Hey that's a key signing. He gives us much needed depth to the o-line. To bad he wasn't athletic enough to play guard in the zone blocking scheme.

I believe the only way he was going to sign was a promise by the new coaching that he would compete for a starting job, so either it's guard or the new OL coach wants Tauscher to move to guard....

Actually we may see Tauscher move to OG and Barry take over at RT. Add one more solid and experienced FA OG, and we have good potential to create a good OL.

The OL is key to making the offense better. Improve the pass protection and running game, and this offense will be great again. Of course that assumes that Favre is coming back.

Tausher really doesn't want to play guard though. It'll be interesting what happens. None the less at worse he adds solid depth to the line which we need.

This is terrible!! If it is true. I doubt it.

The idiot(Wonderlic 8) took years to learn one position in the offense. He is unable to learn any other position. Now with a new offense they think this rock will learn it. To make it as a back up you have to be able to play multiple positions.

This would be a very bad roster move I don't think Thompson would make.

Reports about Barry last year, wasn't the fact that Barry couldn't learn the guard postion, it was Sherman who believed he was more important to the team as a specialist (U71)...according to Chris Havel.....now u know why we ran Sherman out of Green Bay, it's decisions like that.....

exactly what I heard, which made me SO mad at the time. Now we (hopefully) have a coach who can use big man at whatever we need, and whatever kevin CAN do, which is more than 1 position

it had nothing to do with KB being 'dumb' thats just wrong.

Yeah I'm glad Sherman is gone. I thought he was an average coach that was respectable but a horrible GM that got us in a mess.

Sherman thought the U-71 was to important to throw out.

Oh no!!

They did it!!

It's on Packers.com. Oh the wasted dollars. Now they have to carry an extra lineman because Barry can't play left side or any other position.

It's worse than an 8 on the Wonderlic.

Of course, another way to look at it is that Sherman thought he was more valuable as an extra tight end in the U-71 than he did as a starting RG (even when his rookie 7th rounder was floundering out there) may be more telling of his true ability to play guard. I like the signing as he is our best backup OL, but I remain unconvinced that he can play guard.

Yea...that's why Denver has 330 lb offensive linemen. Do some research...you won't look AS great ~[edited by Zero2Cool---please refrain from name calling]~

You are beyond help. Do you know where the zone blocking scheme originated or how it works? Your football knowledge is only exceeded by the shortness of your ****!

Zero don't edit my post again. You want to delete it fine...just don't change it.
