[QUOTE="Pokerbrat2000, post: 1095136, member: 7261"] Well, we have Desmond Ridder on the Roster at the moment, so you may get your wish. My questions marks on Ridder can only be answered by the Packers coaches. Does he have a bigger upside than we saw at Atlanta and LVR? Because if he doesn't, then I would question keeping him. I think people over value his "running ability". Bad QB's often run for their lives and his 3.8 yd run per carry average isn't going to scare many. For comparison, Russell Wilson's career average is 5.3 YC and last season it was 5.9. Also for comparison. Malik Willis averages 5.5 yds/carry. Ridders TD's-Int.'s ration probably scares me the most, it is 16-14. Again, for comparison, Wilson is at 315-114. I'm not opposed to Ridder, if he can be or has been, coached up. However, I do think Russell Wilson is by far the better and more proven QB. Possibly more future upside with Ridder, but we don't need a future QB, we just need a proven commodity that can come in and manage a game well. I would trust Wilson to be just that, proven and a known commodity. The good news for the Packers. Ridder is on a $1.215M contract, that isn't guaranteed. So no risk to move forward with him and see where he is at come Sept. That said, if they can also bring Russell in at under $5M with little or no guarantees, I think you have a great QB camp (Love, Wilson, Ridder, McCord, Rookie), keeping your options wide open.
