Bengals | Henry in trouble again
Tue, 27 Mar 2007 10:59:05 -0700

Kimball Perry and Mark Curnutte, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, report Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry was given a ticket Wednesday, March 21, and had his 2005 Cadillac Escalade impounded after he was ticketed for driving with a suspended license, failure to use turn signals and a seat belt violation. Henry appeared in Hamilton County Municipal Court Monday, March 26, and his vehicle was released after posting a $100 bond.

PacMan and Henry should split lawyer bills:)

Not another Chris Henry arrest....

That's what 5 since November or December of 2005? or about once every 100 days??

In an era where groceries can be ordered/delivered over the internet, personal assistants can be hired for many puposes, why is he driving after his DUI conviction?

Some don't even learn the hard way.

WR Denver Broncos
Brandon Marshall

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-broncos-marshallarrested&prov=ap&type=lgns

Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall appeared in court Tuesday after being arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and domestic violence.

Douglas County sheriff's department spokeswoman Cocha Heyden said Marshall appeared before a judge and was released on personal recognizance.

Marshall was arrested Monday night in the Denver suburb of Highlands Ranch after a woman told authorities she and Marshall, whom she identified as her boyfriend, had argued earlier in the day, Heyden said.

The woman reported that her boyfriend blocked her taxi with his vehicle as she tried to leave his Highlands Ranch home, Heyden said. The woman had no injuries, Heyden added.

"We are aware of the situation involving Brandon Marshall," the Broncos said in a statement. "The organization takes matters of this type very seriously, and we will continue to gather information before offering further comment."

http://www.tboblogs.com/index.php/newswire/story/bucs-played-accused-of-assaulting-pregnant-woman

TAMPA - A Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ running back was arrested early this morning after kicking a pregnant woman’s door in, destroying two televisions and a couple of doors, hitting her in the face and pushing her into a wall after arguing about whether he is the father of the woman’s unborn child, according to an arrest report filed by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Lionel Theron Gates, 25, was charged with assault on a pregnant woman, burglary of an occupied dwelling, and criminal mischief of $1,000 or more – all felonies. Deputies say Gates broke into 28-year-old Peggy Lavender’s apartment at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday. According to a press release, Gates damaged a large screen television, another television set, an interior door and a bedroom door. There was also a large hole was in the bedroom wall at Lavender’s apartment, 6211 Savannah Breeze Court, #101

Gates ran away after the incident, deputies say.

After receiving a call from Lavender, deputies went to her apartment, interviewed her and then went to Gates’ apartment at 6203 Savannah Breeze Court #303. After interviewing him, deputies arrested Gates, according to HCSO spokeswoman Debbie Carter.

Gates and Lavender dated in the past, Carter said.

Another weekend another arrest :chalflag:

FREEHOLD, N.J. (April 2, 2007) -- Indianapolis Colts defensive end Darrell Reid was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana, borough police said.

The 24-year-old Freehold native was stopped by police on a downtown street early March 31 after they received an anonymous call reporting an intoxicated person. The officer who responded noticed a strong smell of marijuana and saw a small plastic bag in the open door of Reid's rental car that contained marijuana, police said.

Reid was arrested on suspicion of possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, obstruction and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, which are all misdemeanors. He was released March 31 after making bail and is scheduled to appear in municipal court April 3, according to Lt. Mark Wodell.

Reid has played for the Colts the last two seasons and in 2006 was second on the team in special teams tackles with 19. He was signed as a free agent in 2005 after playing four years at the University of Minnesota.

A message left for Colts spokesman Craig Kelley at his office was not immediately returned.

Bucs LT Davis Arrested

By IRA KAUFMAN The Tampa Tribune

Published: Apr 5, 2007

TAMPA - Anthony Davis became the second Buccaneer to be arrested within a three-day span when Tampa Bay's starting left tackle was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.

Davis was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant in his hometown of Victoria, Va.

Friday, Bucs running back Lionel Gates was charged with assault on a pregnant woman, burglary and criminal mischief in Tampa.

Davis, who turned 27 last week, was released on his own recognizance and ordered to return for a court date in Virginia later this month.

Davis has opened 33 consecutive games for the Bucs at left tackle, including a playoff matchup against Washington, but his hold on the starting job was tenuous even before his arrest because Tampa Bay signed veteran left tackle Luke Petitgout as a free agent March 6.

LOL... yep... I got tossed out of a Green Bay club... Toons by the mall many years ago for wearing my baseball cap. So I can relate.. but I didn't get arrested :)

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings cornerback Cedric Griffin was freed on $50 bail after being arrested early Sunday in downtown Minneapolis and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, authorities said.

Griffin, 24, was released from the Hennepin County jail at 4:45 a.m.

Two witnesses told KSTP-TV that the Vikings cornerback was thrown out of the Spin nightclub for not pulling up his pants. The club has a dress code requiring that pants not sag below the waist.

Another Viking arrest... DUI and Reckless driving

http://www13.co.hennepin.mn.us/webbooking/chargedetail.asp?v_booknum=2007011759

After more than two months with no points in our Turd Watch "game," the Minnesota Vikings have definitely hit their midseason stride.

On Sunday, cornerback Cedric Griffin was arrested for disorderly conduct, stopping the "days without an arrest" counter from hitting the doomsday-inducing double digits.

Well, one of Cedric's teammates has enabled us to push the number from "4" back to "0."

Our friends at KFAN radio in Minneapolis tell us that cornerback Ronyell Whitaker was arrested for DUI and careless driving early Thursday morning. The Hennepin County jail roster confirms it. Whitaker posted $50 in bail money, and his initial court appearance will occur on May 2.

For the Vikings, it's six more points in Turd Watch -- three for each misdemeanor charge.

Whitaker appeared in all 16 games in 2006, starting twice.

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back Ahmad Carroll was arrested on weapon and drug charges early Saturday on suspicion of being involved in a disturbance with a weapon, authorities said.

Polite said Carroll acknowledged to police that he was carrying a 9mm pistol. Police then searched his car and found 11 pink tablets that were believed to be ecstasy. He was arrested and charged with carrying a weapon without a license, possession of drugs and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Carroll, an Atlanta native, was released Saturday on a $7,000 bond.

LB Pittsburgh Steelers
Richard Siegler

http://www.aolsportsblog.com/2007/05/10/steelers-cut-linebacker-after-hes-charged-with-being-a-****/

When the Steelers released Richard Seigler on Thursday, it seemed to be just one of those procedural moves--a case where a player was caught in a number's game. And Seigler was enough of a scrub that you would expect people to barely notice he's gone.

Or that's what the Steelers hoped would happen. A Las Vegas television station is reporting that the Steelers actually cut Seigler once they found out that the Las Vegas Police Department had a warrant out to arrest him on multiple felony charges stemming from his work[activities] as a ****. The TV station reported that he was arrested on Thursday in Pittsburgh, just hours after being released.

The Las Vegas police charged Seigler with pandering and living off the earnings of a **********. Los Vegas Channel 8 TV reports that Seigler could face up to 10 years in prison. A vice officer with the police department told the TV station that they were tipped off to Seigler during an investigation into underage prostitutes.A former 49ers fourth-round draft pick out of Oregon State in 2004, Seigler was on the Steelers practice squad for most of last season after a strong training camp. and joined the active roster in time for the team's final two games. He was not expected to make the 2007 squad, but now, that may be the least of his worries.

http://www.klas-tv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6498774

Seigler, wearing number 51 in the file photo from the Las Vegas Bowl a few years ago, became a suspect as Metro vice officers probed a juvenile prostitution case. They found out that Seigler allegedly tried to entice a girl to work as one of his hookers, and then learned that he has other women working for him as escorts in Las Vegas.

Metro Vice Sgt. Gil Shannon told the I-Team Thursday afternoon, "It started in December of 2006. We were conducting a juvenile pandering investigation. Various sources led us to identify the suspect as Richard Seigler. He was trying to get women to work for him. Our initial subject had mentioned prostitution. Through related investigations we found more women here in Las Vegas working as prostitutes."

The warrant for his arrest was signed late last week and other law enforcement agencies have been looking for Seigler, who apparently knew he was the subject of an investigation.

Thursday morning, the Steelers told him he had been cut form the team and also that U.S. Marshals were looking for him. Exactly how the team was tipped off is something Metro would like to know. Law enforcement sources told the I-Team that a Pittsburgh police lieutenant is also the chief of security for the team.
