Trick plays are a true double edged sword, and are usually linked to desperation. I believe the onside during the Rams game was needed, just as it was needed in the Patriots game. We came there to show them that we want to dominate the game. Personally thinking that the Patriots game was one of the best fought Packers game in recent memory. Though our ST did great on that play, there was another play that well, we'll remember our ST was also our biggest weaknesses that year. The fake field goal, was Packer/Bear tradition, between the two teams it takes everything a team has to beat the other. With this, I believe the Packers have one of the best ST units in the league, and I really hope one day our o-line could cause the same amount of blocking as the ST-Line did for that touchdown. And since our offense is fairly predictable, adding in the trick plays makes it harder for opposing teams to plan for.
