If theres anyone on here from Green Bay or anyone who knows the area well I could use your help. Im going to be going to the December 9th game against the raiders and im havin a hard time finding hotel rooms. I was wondering if there was a camping area or something where we could set up a camper. Or if you had any other ideas I would love to hear them. Thanks.

I wouldn't think you'll be able to set up a camper in December (might be more than a bit cold).

check out www.packercountry.com. This website has a listing of all the hotels in the area and knows which have availability. It's better than calling all of them or trying to find a place through expedia.

Tfarn22- I would suggest, try to find a motel room in the Green Bay area by using the free services of the Packer country Regional Tourism Bay area on Packer home game weekends. Their phone number is 920-494-9507. A poster on this topic already posted their Email address.

There are two camper/RV parking areas available in the Green Bay/Brown County area operated by Brown County Park Department- Phone 920-448-4466. There is one park with camping facilties called Bay Shore Park located at 5637 Sturgeon Bay Rd , just off of State Highway 57, about 15 miles from Lambeau Field.

There is area in Brown County Fair grounds that parking of campers and RV's is permitted. Brown County Fairground is a couple of miles from Lambeau Field just off of Ashland Av on DePere/Ashwaubenon city & Village limits. Call Brown County Park Department for information on fees and availabilty.

.

You can try the small motels in Green Bay such as North Star at 920-499-6253- Tower Motel 920-468-1242- Skylite Motel 920-494-5641, Mariner Inn 920-437-3760. The room rates are lower than large hotels in Green Bay and possibly have a vacancy at this late date.

However there are Hotels outside of Green Bay in smaller cities near Green Bay who may have hotel rooms available and maybe at at lower cost that Green Bay Motels . Cities such as Marinette, Peshtigo, Brillion. Shawano, Appleton, Manitowoc, Sturgeon Bay, Algoma, Kewaunee etc located with 30minutes to hour of driving time from Green Bay.

Example: Oconto Motel in Oconto on Hiway 41- phone number is 920 -834-2823. There is another hotel in Oconto also the name escapes me but well known franchise hotel. Oconto is about 30 minutes driving time on Hway.

There is another possibility- You could park your camper in certain area of their parking lot in the Oneida Bingo and Casino Complex which is free of charge . .

I met a Packer fan attending the Packer training camp sessions who parked his RV for three weeks in their parking lot- this last summer. they have electricity available for Campers or RVs free of charge. He just drove in their parking lot and found as spot in the area set aside for campers and RV and parked there. He had been there a few times before and done this.

Oneida Casino is located on State hiway 172 just across the street from Austin Strabel(Brown County ) Airport about 5 miles or so from Lambeau Field.

You can call their office at the Casino and find our details in advance, if you don't want to just drive in their parking lot and ask where the location for parking RVs and campers is located.. Their phone number is 920-494-4500. I would tell them you are coming to their casino and wanted to know about parking facilities for your camper in their parking lot.

If you want to know anything else about Green Bay- Sports bars, good Restaurants etc. just post your questions on this topic, I will reply, or you can use the packerforum PM (private message function) to contact me. And I will answer your PM.

Green Bay can sometimes be very cold in December, if you are thinking about using a camper. you just never know what cold temperatures you could encounter here in Green Bay in early Dec. At this date in Sept, long term forecast of temperatures in December are very inaccurate. A guess, I would think, I would call it!!

It is a hobby of mine to give information to Packer fans coming to Lambeau Field.

PWT 36 A very long time Green Bay born and raised Packer fan of over 60 years located in DePere, Wi just five miles from Lambeau Field.

If you don't mind spending a bit more, try the Regency Suites. I found a suite there two weeks prior to the Packers/Eagles game and shared it with three other buddies for around $215/night. Not too bad since we split it and it included a rather large free breakfast buffet.

It's a very nice place.

I've stayed at the Sandman Motel in Brillion. Cheap and quiet.

However, I usually stay at my parents house. Free bed, free breakfast, and no traffic because I take the back roads. :)

we stay in appleton. it's hit or miss if their are rooms available. it's about half an hour drive from Green Bay but it's a fast drive because it's divided highway. another option is Wausau. It's about an hour (?) away from Green Bay. They have Days Inn and Best Western and will cost about half of what hotels in Appleton will cost. Bit of a drive but it's fun to load up the car at the *** crack of dawn and drive up to Green Bay. The anticipation builds by the mile!!!

This is the hotel I always stay at when going to the game and always have luck with getting a room.

Just checked an a couple are available for that weekend...

http://www.comfortsuitesgb.com/hotelindex.html

It is just north of Fleet Farm on Bond street, about 10 minutes from Lambeau.

On game day, take Taylor south (little to no traffic) to 9th, then stay on 9th to south ridge road. You will find plenty of yards to park in off of ridge.

Have fun.
