Because we are a small island, with big urban areas, there is a limit on how many carriages and trucks a train can pull safely. I remember seeing a train in Canada that was pulling eighty plus waggons. Very impressive indeed.

Crude Oil shipment from North Dakota to the East Coast. 104 cars....33,000 gallons each. 3.432 million gallons. One destination is my home town...Conoco Phillips, Linden New Jersey.

Train versus tornado. Seeing that tanker coming one's way must have increased the pucker factor to record levels.

I remember standing alongside the big steam engine in Green Bay museum which was about two storeys high in awe that something THAT big existed.

I live grew up and live in central PA where there is a big train connection to all parts of the northeast. Yet I had to go to Germany to actually have my first real train ride. How sad is that?
