Thirteen years ago the Minnesota Vikings started their season 6-0 and were threatening to turn the NFC North race into a runaway, as they opened a 3 game lead on the Packers. They were becoming the **** pick in the NFC for the Super Bowl with that start, praise was being heaped on their third year head coach, only then it was their offense that was their most prominent feature.

Then a 2-4 New York Giants team visited Minneapolis and stung the Queens with a bold upset.

After that the Vikes finished 3-7 and lost the division on the last play of the last game of the season.

The situation now is not nearly so serious for the Packers as it was then but it would sure be a nice surprise if the Giants could come into Minny and do it again.

Since that game the Giants' record against the Vikqueens has been atrocious (3-5) and 3 of those 5 losses have been blow-outs.

While it would certainly help the Packers if the G-Men can pull it together for a great effort tonight the Queens moving to 4-0 would not be a serious matter for the Pack's position; provided they keep winning in upcoming games.

It seems that the Giants either dominate or implode against the Vikings. I don't expect a close game either way.

I'm predicting a defensive slugfest with many turnovers. Lots of minor injuries that keep Giant starters out of next weeks game, whoever that may be against :whistling:. Low scoring, lots of mistakes leaving both teams scratching their heads and at their collective drawing boards trying to figure out how to fix things. Did I mention overtime and the Giants plane getting detoured through Hawaii?
