For those building their draft predictions, if you like interesting stories, Google WR David Sills, who is a 2019 Draft prospect. At the age of 13 he was being heralded as the next "LeBron James of the NFL" but at QB, not WR. Becoming the youngest player to be offered a scholarship at USC.

An injury to his throwing hand (knuckle), a broken ankle and Lane Kiffin getting fired from USC were some of the things that caused his whole career path to change.

Good Luck everyone! If we get any combination of what I’m seeing here overall.. we will look like a different team by the time of our first playoff game

I'm always fighting with myself as to what I hope the Packers will do and what I think they will actually do. But still a fun exercise. :)

Yeah. Who I want and who I think will be left standing are totally different things. I know exactly what you mean.

This contest is about what they will do, not what you think they should do. In the end you'd like to think there will be some overlap. :coffee:

Yup that and if the following 3 guys are there for the Packers at #12, who do they select? Or do they pass on all 3, select someone else or do they trade back?

Oliver, Hochenson and White

The more Mocks I look at, the more unsure I get, as well as leaning towards the thought that the #12 pick (if they don't trade out) is going to be the Packers selecting the offensive lineman that they just may have at the top of their board as being the best at the position.

Agreed and the more overlap you have, you can probably say that you are more in tune with the way Gute thinks about players selected (or not selected), how they fit into the Packer's plans, as well as a good handle on the other 31 teams involved in the process :)

Makes filling out the NCAA Basketball brackets feel like a walk in the park.

I also feel the need to add in players if Gute trades up or back. Guys expected at the other end of the round too. Or in this season's case, guys expected to go at the turn.

knowing the first 1-2 pieces makes the rest of the puzzle fit together. If you get the first pick or two correct, it’s much more likely you can mock another player or two. But vice versa also, once the dominos start falling they either go your way..or nearly stop altogether.

Actually I believe it's close to impossible to get any other player the Packers draft correct aside of the 12th pick.

It's difficult, but not nearly impossible. If you consider there are probably 400 players who stand a reasonable chance of being drafted. Maybe we can cross off 1/2 of those as not likely due to character issues, system fit, metric misses, need, and probably gone. If we knew Gute/Lafluers taste in players we could probably narrow it down some more. That's 200 and we have 9 picks. By my math, that's a 9.5% chance at getting 1 correct.

The Packers have 10 picks even increasing those chances ;) Actually if you consider 200 possible prospects you have a 40.9% of getting at least one correct in the Amish Mafia draft contest.

0.5% chance per pick, 10x? I thought you were wrong, but I ran a random number experiment and hit 30% 1 right and 12% 2 right on 100 trials.

You must be correct.
