And can wreck your hearing.
Yup and your voice, just trying to talk to whoever you go to the game with.

Someday, I will be that annoying old guy with the headphones on, listening to the broadcast on radio and trying to drown out all the pumped in noise.

Quick Note.....not to mean that I think old guys with headphones on are annoying. :D

This is a strange season. We handle the Steelers one week and then they go and manhandle the 7-1 Colts...
Yes. While the Colts probably have a better record than true strength. They still won 7 games and that puts them squarely as a Top 10 Team. Pittsburgh kinda beat up on them they were leading by 10 and it was never really close.
Last night The Cardinals backup QB, Brissett just carved up Dallas. Yet what was more the story line is Arizona stymied the #2 ranked Dallas Offense. Gave them all sorts of problems. I watched a portion of it and Arizona lived in the Backfield. This is why I was saying teams kinda just match up well in certain venues for whatever reason. Good teams can lose, but you’d like to at minimum go to the wire. At least it shows you were a few plays away from a Win. Clean up the mishaps and level off and quit porpoising.

I believe that you are correct. A lot of the people that leave early seem to be long time season ticket holders, that have been to more than their share of Packer games. They would rather beat traffic, then watch those final minutes. If you have ever gotten stuck in Green Bay traffic for an agonizing hour after a game, you probably can relate. There are not many sidewalks in GB, so fans seem to like to just walk slowly in the middle of the roads, which also slows up traffic. Not to mention that dependent on which way out of GB you are headed, even when you get out of GB, traffic is super slow for the first hour. So yeah, I get why some leave early, and I have as well. That said, if its a close game, I'm staying until it is decided.
We've usually arranged our plans as to having a post-game tailgate party in the lot after the game to waste an hour or so. That's worked for me. It always focused around having a couple of brats, chips or something else on the side, and some nice hot coffee or hot chocolate on cold days. A small Bunsen burner does the trick so you don't have to crank up the grill. Watch the post-game info on a small battery-operated TV and enjoy discussing the game with friends. By the time we decided to leave, the rush was over and we could get out on the street, and on the road in no time at all. We would at most be about 15 minutes behind those who made the mad dash over an hour earlier and have been cursing the traffic.

To me it was always part of the journey. Enjoy every moment of it that you can because you don't know what tomorrow is going to bring.

We stopped going to games years ago when we lived in GB because of the drunks and loud music. Hubby wore earphones to listen to the radio. You can miss a lot of info sitting in the stands. Unless I saw somebody hobble off the field I didn't realize they were hurt and out of the game. And every time there was a big play some big guy would jump up in front of me and I'd miss it entirely. I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy. :D

That can be annoying. But I guess I watched the game more intently and pretty much shut out the noise around me. I was focused on the game. That's why I always avoided drinking before and during games. I didn't want to need to use the bathrooms. I wanted to be focused. The only time my wife would even speak to me was during time-outs, end of quarters, and at halftime. That's when we'd end up with concession foods, or that which we'd conveniently tucked away inside our snowmobile suits on those cold winter days.

One of my favorites on those cold winter days was a Reuben or Corn Beef sandwich from a plastic bag tucked inside my shirt by my chest. Nice and warm, wash it down with a little bottled water. The perfect upscale sandwich to offset the cold weather.

Yours is definitely my preferred MO as well, unless of course it is a S, M or R Night game. The place we park usually opens their garage back up, has a TV on and food left over, so sitting down, watching part of a late game and eating dinner while traffic clears out of GB is awesome, for me as well.

What was really odd about Sundays game, we stayed for the whole game, walked briskly back to my truck, used a porta potty and headed out. For some reason, we flew all the way home. It took us less time to get back to Madison than it did to get to the game. My buddy said that hen he walked into the house at 5:40 his wife said "Didn't stay for the 4th Q?"

I have a granddaughter who recently turned 28 whose name was put on the waiting list for season tickets in Green Bay. The way it looks she's about two to three years away from getting her "Golden Tickets."

I assume her name was put on the list 28 years ago?

Love me a Rueben!

Funny story but the best Reuben I ever had was 6 years ago at a Kroger Delhi for $3.99. The girl was new and reading off a cue card literally! I told her how to make it because the day earlier she made me a club and didn’t even cut it. Lol.

That Reuben had so much Corned Beef and Kraut I literally took a photo of it. I’ve switched phones and lost it but it was like 3” of corned beef and an inch of Kraut! I must’ve sent 10 people that before then after photo it was so delicious. Like $5 worth of meat

One simple thing about the loss to the Panthers. We should have won the game and could have if Havrisik was kicking not McManus. The fact is, McManus has not fully recovered from his injury, and his rhythm and timing is off because he's pressing himself to return. For some reason LeFleur just can't get it through his head how important the kicking game is to the team, and we end up being bitten by it almost every year.

I'm not going to belabor the point, but I don't understand how Bisaccia can still have a job in Green Bay. Having the title of Assistant Head Coach/Special Teams Coach befuddles me even more. Why would this guy get a better paycheck than those who are molding their respective units into solid groups?

Understand, this is not a knock agains McManus. He's a competitor and one of the best when he isn't injured. We have two kickers on the roster, one who has come in and kicked the record distance kick in the entire history of the Packers and hasn't even been close to missing any kicks and they don't use him, they use the guy who's still fighting through an injury. In simple words, this is pure stupidity.
Definitely could have played Luke the last 2 games. It does not mean he would be perfect but with all the caution the Packers take with other injuries why rush McManus? McManus kicks off as well and risk of a greater injury is there, too.

I normally try and do three apiece, but that might be tough...

Studs:
- Doubs and Watson both looked pretty good today. Combined for 9 rec on 14 targets and 150 yards.

- X remembering how to snag an INT again

- I'm stretching here... with the exception of two BAD throws (one INT and one should-have-been), Love looked sharp again. Week after week I find myself wondering why this team decided to pay him a billion dollars yet don't seem to want to trust him that much.

Duds:
- Hafley's defense seems to pretty much only work as front runners. When the offense is firing and we get a lead and they can play aggressive they are solid. If you ask them to protect a lead or hang on to a tie in two-minute drill type situations I have basically zero confidence in them getting the job done.

- Special teams continues to be an absolute liability. Our return game offers no positive benefit, we cannot seem to figure out what we want to do with our two kickers, and situationally it seems like we have no idea how we want to approach potential ST situations

- Week after week LaFleur's play calling leaves me scratching my head all game long. It often seems like he calls plays for the team that he WANTS to have (or THINKS he has), rather than calling for the team that the *actually* has. We are not a ground-and-pound run-to-establish-the-pass team with a bunch of road-graders on the OL. This should be a pass-first team and it seems like LaFleur is either unwilling or unable to acknowledge this. Overall I think Matt is a very, very, good coach but I think we have probably seen our ceiling under him. The bottom line is that I don't think we are ever think we are going to win a Super Bowl so long as he is our primary play caller. I hope to be proven wrong on that but I guess

This is a Super Bowl team?! LOL as if.
And so they do nothing! SB my ***, this thing could collapse to 8-7-1
LaFluer would be gone as Gutey too. Policy would have his team.
Admit it sounds crazy but so all this elite BS talk and something missing big on D

We certainly have a big game Monday. Going to be interesting. We can hang if the O line holds up and Haf moves Parsons around. Go Packers

I'm looking for something positive to say, here's one:
We haven't lost a game by more than three points all season.
That's not bad. Reminds me of the 2010 Super Bowl team that lost six games, but they were all by only three or four points.

Given Gute's propensity to dip into the Free Agent market, I believe that he will go after a DT and possibly a CB in Free Agency. The problem with CB's in free agency, the good ones are usually priced way too high.
This year he dipped and he went 1 for 2. Parsons is the real deal. Hobbs is a wasted 48 mill.

True, the team plays up to or down to its opponent. Ironically, our largest margin of victory was over the Lions. But now the better teams hit the schedule with fast QBs. We were healthy in WK 1. Sooner or later it will catch up. We could play a much, much better game than last Sunday and still lose by a good margin. I predict that we may see one or two double digit defeats and the fingers will not point to just tge kicker.

Parsons is the real deal, but he wasn't a Free agent...he cost us 2 1st rounders, Clarke + a big contract. ;)

Hobbs and Banks were FA signings and while Hobbs looks like a bad signing, I've been told to wait on Banks, which I agree.

But I'd like to at least try Hobbs out at the same position and same time as Bullard for 3rd and 10

Well $16mil guaranteed. If he continues on that trajectory anyways. He’s got poor execution with Bookends of injuries either side and it’ll take a major turnaround to shake his first impression.
