Oct. 07, 2012; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (12) is sacked by the Indianapolis Colts defense during second half action. The Colts defeated the packers, 30-27. Thomas J. Russo-US PRESSWIRE By Travis Duncan Packer Forum writer "We didn't tackle very well," Mike McCarthy said Monday at Packers headquarters. "We're not handling the football the way we need to, and on and on and on." But the Green Bay head coach insisted he "feels good about the psyche of the football team." At 2-3 and with the loss of running back Cedric Benson, who will not play in Week 6 against Houston, how confident can Green Bay that they can go into a Reliant Stadium on Sunday Night Football to avoid dropping two games under .500 in a division led by Minnesota and Chicago with 4-1 records? McCarthy admitted there was some "protection opportunities" his team needed to clear up. He also said the team is not practicing well through the week and those poor practices are "showing up on Sunday." Did Green Bay overlook the rebuilding Indianapolis Colts? "They're confident but disappointed," said McCarthy. And the apparent lack of focus? "Oh we're a focused football team, we're just not playing at a level we want to play at right now." Benson Out, Raji and Finley might play. Cedric Benson will not play Sunday Night against Houston and currently has his foot in a protective boot because of an ankle injury. B.J. Raji re-injured his left ankle Sunday, an injury he originally suffered in the preseason. But Raji could possibly play Sunday night. Tight end Jermichael Finley "has a chance to play" despite a shoulder injury. Statistically Speaking -Green Bay went 4 of 13 on third down conversions. -6.1 yard per carry on 23 rushes was the best average for the Packers this season. However Aaron Rodgers accounted for 57 of those 141 total yards. And a chunk of those yards came on an Alex Green 41-yard run late in the fourth quarter. -Big pays lacking for Rodgers: According to ESPN Stats and Info, Rodgers led the NFL in yards per attempt and 30-yard completions through Week 5 of 2011, but ranks outside the Top 20 in those categories this season. -Third quarter troubles: As reported by James Carlton of CBS Sports, the Packers have scored just six points in third quarters this season. And four out of five of those games they did not score in the third quarter at all. Meanwhile opponents have scored 36 total points in the third quarter.
