Probably cheaper by the mileIs he cheaper than Myles? Lol
Mack doesn't play with Max Crosby anymore since he's a Charger. He does have Bosa on his team but he's had his share of injuries the past few years. If Mack only had 6 sacks last year, it could indicate he's still getting near the QB, but can't finish like he used to.And he had Crosby on the other side

Pressures are a fake statistic. They don't translate into success. How many times have you seen a pressured QB run for a first down or step into the pocket and make a big completion? Rather than pressures, forced incompletions plus sacks would be a much better barometer. Each incompletion has 4 causes. 1- a receiver gets his hands on the ball and drops the pass, 2- a defender gets his hands on the ball for a deflection, 3- a bad pass or intentional throw away, 4- a forced incompletion by a pass rusher who causes a QB to make a bad pass because he can't set his legs properly. Like forced fumbles, I also would like pass rushers to get credited with a forced interception.Pressures are the better barometer for a guy to see if they're starting to slack off or have issues.
Mack Pressure totals and pressures per snap charted below:
Prush snaps Pressures Pressures per Prush snap 2024419 52 12.4% 2023534 88 16.5% 2022518 59 11.4% 2021176 22 12.5% 2020531 59 11.1% 2019531 70 13.2% 2018505 73 14.5% 2017533 79 14.8% 2016575 98 17.0% 2015581 82 14.1% 2014479 54 11.3%
For reference some of the best in the league as many consider and some recognizable names:
Verse - 16.3% (most pressures in the league at 89 per PFF)
Greenard - 15.1%
Hendrickson - 16.1%
M Crosby - 11.7%
N Bosa - 16.4%
Garrett - 17.4%
C Young - 13.7%
TJ Watt - 9.5%
Sweat - 11.6%
Karlaftis - 11.8%
Mack is still producing at just below ELITE levels and is still playing a healthy snap count too.

Yeah; you don't necessarily need to break the bank and throw away multiple high picks just to have the absolute #1 guy on the list of 5 or 6 guys who can help. There will be guys out there who may not be Garret, but they'll be 70 (maybe even 80%) of what Garrett brings, and that's still pretty damned good. A definite upgrade over where we are at now.Myles Garrett is transcendent, but I would rather just pay Khalil Mack than trade multiple first rounds picks for Garrett.
There are things that players can learn better from their peers than from their coaches; a team leader can lead by example, which is something a coach can never do.And coaches are the ones that are supposed to teach running routes and coming up with decent plays against pass defenses. I'm honestly don't agree with all this veteran leadership is needed. Playmakers are needed.
It may be a good time to trade one of the youngsters; don't necessarily need to cut someone to make room on the roster. We've all known for years that at some point, a couple of these guys would best serve the team as trade bait fill a hole. I said early last year that 2025 would be the most likely time to trade at least one of them, so maybe here we are.No cuts needed really…unless Watson rejoins off IR late in the year. We’ve routinely held 6 on roster (Doubs, Watson, Reed, Wicke, Heath and Melton)
