As a matter of pride, though, I would think Rodgers wants something so spectacular that he is far and away the highest paid in the NFL even if the final years are not likely to happen. And if he stays good for as long as Favre did, he has a decent degree of security even without the back end being guaranteed, as he wouldn't be cut while he is still at the top of his game even if the numbers were borderline ridiculous. The worst thing, though, for several reasons would be a new contract or extension that was too short term.</p></blockquote><p></p>
