I think this year more than any in the past the Pack cannot be picking in terms of Best available player.

Last year was a fluke pick and in my mind a wasted one with Aron Rodgers only because we could have had many other impact Players. Most circle felt Nall was a quality guy who had some upside.

If TT draftgs a QB with the #5 Pick I will be rather pissed. The team has more needs that are glaring than a QB I do believe that the draft will go like this

By Position.

1. DE/LB: This would create the dominant D that Pack Fans have been missing

2 LB/WR: Depending on our first pick I see either a LB or WR taken

3. OL: There are som good developmental prospects out there that will fall to the third round and have the ability to grow and contribute immediately.

4. QB: I am more in favor of a third or fourth round QB tend to pan out better than first rounders.

5: KR/PR: GB needs a specialist with Speed to burn.

6: CB: There is a small school CB out there that will turn heads always seems to be someone.

7: WIldcard pick will be someone who will be a pure development slot.

Last year Thompson went with a lot of small school guys and a lot of projects...a bunch of them panned out...that is not always the case...i wanna see big school players, big time performers who can contribute right away, even if only on special teams

I agree JB for the most part except for the QB at 4 and only getting 1 OL.

Round 1, I agree definitely looking at Hawk/Williams

Round 2, I think this is a spot to Grab a CB at if Mangold is gone. There are a plethora of CB's that are borderline 1st rounders. A WR would be ok as well.

Round 3, You are dead on here. Get a young Guard, like Boothe from Cornell here.

Round 4, My biggest disagreement. I don't think we go QB here at all. With A-Rod from last year I think that this will be to high to pick a QB. If Brett goes we need a seasoned veteran to back A-Rod up. I would not use a 4th rounder for a 3rd string guy. If Brett stays, either get a QB later in the 6th or 7th round or wait til next year. I would much rather go WR,OL here. Should be some good talent left at the WR spot. Would also be a good spot to find a kick returner/wide reciever thus killing 2 birds with one stone.

Round 5, Still need to address the OL more. We need a few guys. If not A TE or DE, like Gocong, would be a nice fit

Round 6, More OL or CB as you suggested.IF we have not grabbed a DE yet, this could be a possibility

Round 7, I think this is the spot to take a flyer on a QB. He could battle Arth for 3rd stringer. If he doesn't pan out no big deal.

I would like to see at the end of the day
2-3 OL
LB
WR
CB
TE
DE

Big School guys don't always pan out either. I think by geting players from smaller schools you gain more value in your overall draft. I am a big fan of the smaller school picks.

right, but what i'm saying is we can't draft guys like kurt campbell (where is he?) who has good size and nothing else (but a history of injuries)

Yeah but on the same token we can't draft Craig Bragg either. It's not a big school, little scool thing, I guess. Its more about the overall quality of player no matter where they are from

He tore his ACL last year at the end of preseason, as far as I know he's still with the team.
