That K would have a chance to practice with our holder and LS and be more of a sure thing in the event our kicker was a mid week or last second scratch. You hope that neither has to be used during the season, but I think the K is probably going to be more valuable of an asset than your 6th CB.</p><p></p><p>BTW, in case people don't know, Vogel is the 7th kicker that the Packers have had come in for a tryout since the season started. Also brought in were Casey Bednarski, Chris Blewitt, Ramiz Ahmed, Chandler Catanzaro, Giorgio Tavecchio and Josh Gable.</p><p></p><p>Vogel kicked for three seasons at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, finishing as the school’s third-leading scorer.
