Dani reminds me alot of Montez Sweat. Montez had Elite Straight line speed. Think Montez ran a 4.41 ?? at 260Lb which is historic level. Doesn’t even sound correct but thats like 10.0 grade stuff. Dani outperformed Montez in nearly every explosive drill, strength drill and also lateral drill. So raw speed goes to Montez, the 10-20-40 yard goes Montez. Yet strength 26 Reps vs 21 Reps goes to Dani. 3 Cone 6.90 vs 7.0 goes Dani. Vertical 39.5 vs 36.0 goes Dani Long jump 10’11” vs 10’5” goes Dani Montez has elite 35.75” arms and 10.5” hands which is insane length vs Dani good 33.4” and 10.1” hands. Size are with .25 height and 5Lb. area upon testing so that’s near identical. Montez had 22 Sacks last 2 college seasons and 30 TFL. Dani had 17 Sacks and 25 TFL so that goes Montez. However Dani is a better Rounded athlete imo. This can be seen in his disruptive traits both at DL, backfield or in Coverage. Dani logged in 2 seasons 6 PD 5 Forced Fumbles 1 INT Montez had 0 PD 1 FF O INT I’m simply guessing, but Montez role was put blinders on and Defend the Run and get after the QB. Dani can do all 3. Defend the Run, get after the QB and cover at a high level. What I notice about Dani is his lateral quickness helped him mirror TE’s and Slots coming out of the backfield. Then Using his 6’5.5” + near 40” vertical to high point the ball. He’s a near elite, variable Zone Goalie. 40” + ~102” vertical reach puts his vertical range just inches under a 12 ft (144in.) You see this reality on his highlight film. A QB pass needs to place the ball with extreme arc at 12’+ when throwing at him.
