Message: <blockquote data-quote="Pokerbrat2000" data-source="post: 1094472" data-attributes="member: 7261">My thoughts exactly.That said, as with any player, it would only be if he meshes well with the Packers Coaches and players.  These are things that us fans really don't know for sure.  Sure, he is a friend of Micah's but maybe his 2 weeks in GB told the coaches all they needed to know, he wasn't a guy they wanted around any longer.  As fans, we mostly only see what happens on the playing field.  Which is probably only about 50% of what Gute and coaches are looking at.   Things like health, mentality, dedication, learning skills, playbook comprehension, etc. all go into these decisions that us fans don't get a lot of data on.I realize many of us imply it when we say "would love to see the Packers sign this guy or that guy", but those other traits are something that isn't talked about enough and definitely has an impact on what players the Packers want on their roster.  Those are variables that people can't see on film, so even for Gute, when it comes to drafting, trading and free agents, he and the staff probably have to dig pretty deep to find out as much of that info. as possible.</blockquote>
