I may not totally agree with how he handled Love and Golden, but he may have had an instinct to shield them from confidence-crushing moments early in their careers.The best advice that I ever got as a parent was to introduce your kid to something (like skiing) and then leave early that first time. Then instead of being cold/wet/miserable at the end of their first skiing adventure, they are left wanting more. LaFleur *could* have been doing something similar with those young players. Keep them wanting more and working harder to get there.</blockquote>
