If his foot is healed bringing in Wilkens makes just way too much sense in the wake of Wyatts injury.

So much sense ill be suprised if it happens

No offense to DT's but between them and OL players, I think they are probably the most likely to get out of football shape when not playing. Which might be the case with Wilkins and/or Adams. When Wyatt was hurt before the Cowboys game, the Packers worked out Anthony Campbell, Keondre Coburn, and Omari Thomas. I think all 3 are still free agents, so we might see one of them signed.

Your idea of a PS squad player like Ta'Quan might be the best option. You are probably most likely to find a healthy, eager, capable and willing player on another teams PS and with the depth of the Eagles DT's, you might pluck a decent one from them.

The Packers only in-house move would be to bring up James Ester off the PS, but I don't think the guy has ever played a snap in the NFL?
I think it’s a priority to be bringing in help. This is just my guess but either a FA DL is going to stay in football shape or not.

I will say that Brinson and Stackhouse have been relatively active and both are near or considerable bigger than Wyatt. At 6’5”/6’4” 315lb/327lb these are some big dudes. Stack has hovered around 15% snaps and Brinson has been pretty involved as of 6 weeks ago in the 32% snaps area. So similar to their Georgia involvement they’ve been playing regular rotational level and both could likely handle 10%-15% more workload by week 14 of the season.

That said, we’re talking a more temporary offset. As a clear Championship level contender, Gute has to be considering bringing in some experience.

We were thin in talent at DT after Clark was traded, we're really running on fumes without Wyatt.
Back in 2010 when we got very thin on the D line about 6-7 games in McCarthy pulled one or two of his Offensive lineman to go out on D for short yardage situations for a week or two.

Interesting, I don't remember that. Who were the players?

I hope it never gets to that, since that is also risking OL players that probably aren't very skilled at playing DT.

The Packers have activated the 21-day return window for MarShawn Lloyd, Brenton Cox, and rookie Collin Oliver.

With only a month left in the regular season, I am not going to get all that excited about this and think that any of them will be back on the 53 man roster anytime soon. But a good move if they are ready to practice and any injuries at their perspective positions occur.

Yeah this is the time that makes sense EVEN if you shut them down for the year once window closes.

Nothing to get very excited about over the 6 guys that the Packers brought in for workouts yesterday.

- DT Ross Blacklock
- NT Isaiah Raikes
- DB Omar Brown
- DB Mike Reid
- OL Karsen Barnhart
- T Caleb Etienne

Omar Brown might sound familiar to some fans. He was on the roster this past Summer and had an impressive "Family Night" performance.

Love Omar - solid guy and athletic. I thought he would stay on PS with us but nope. Who knows. I do recognize Blacklock as well. He was a TCU prospect many were mixed on back in the day - I don't recall if he was drafted, UDFA or has any experience.

He was actually taken pretty early in the 2020 2nd round, pick #40, by the Texans. Since then he has bounced around
5 other teams preseason roster or Practice squad (Vikings, Jaguars, Colts, Titans, Giants). When I see that happen, I think "injuries or attitude", especially from a guy that young and chosen at #40. I don't see injuries listed, so I am going to go with door #2. Also, during his rookie season, In Week 2 against the Ravens, Blacklock was ejected from the game late in the fourth quarter after throwing a punch.

Honestly, sometimes dudes are eventually pushed so far they see their chances are slipping away....and are worth the gamble. With our depleted DL issues he may be worth the risk.

Could be, but seriously, how many of these guys end up working out? 6 teams in 5 years and hasn't played a real snap since 2020. Guessing Gute got a call from an agent he owed a favor to and Blacklock's agent said "Hey, my guy has really been working hard and is ready to go, just take a look, I think you will be impressed."

The big red flag for me is the amount of time he spent with every organization but his first, which even with them it was just 2 years and gone.

Sounds like LVN is back in a walking boot and his return is unknown. I am sure very frustrating for him and the Packers, since it appeared he was ready to play again and only lasted all of 6 snaps against the Vikings.

Unless something miraculous happens with LVN, I can say with just about 100% confidence, the Packers won't be picking up his 5th year option (2027), which would be around $15M. 2026 might very well be LVN's last season in GB.

I would think if a plyer was really good; teams would try harder to work with him. So my guess is that he really isn't very good. And we don't need someone that isn't good right now.

You talking health wise? LVN was awesome this year when healthy if talking ability.

@Pokerbrat2000 I could see them not pick up the option but do a Watson type extension slightly smaller extending their time with him givne his ascending ability and growth has been steady upward.
