He was a linebacker. 2nd round pick. I loved the way he played in pre-season. Pulled a hamstring and never played again. Never played regular season. I think he was from Penn State and ended up coaching college somewhere.

Yup, now I remember him and he was from PSU. He is currently the linebackers coach for UCF.

I have a few requests for my wife if I go first.

First of all, I want to be cremated. I don't want to take up land and be buried in a grave that in two-generations they won't even care that I existed. I have plans for when I'm gone.

Take some of my ashes in a plastic bag to Lambeau Field. Go on the tour and when you're on the field, secretly empty those ashes onto the field.
Second, take more of my ashes and bring them to the home where I spent my childhood. Somewhere in that yard, sprinkle some of my ashes.

Next, bring some ashes to my favorite lake. Go out in a boat to the island where I loved going with camping gear and equipment to spend the night while fishing. Sprinkle ashes on the island.

Then, take the rest of my ashes to the cemetery where nearly all of my relatives are buried. Pour the rest of my ashes out over my parents and grandparents graves.

I'll be able to rest in peace knowing that I'm everywhere that I want to be for eternity.

Next Question. Are the Packers stashing RB MarShawn Lloyd?

He suffered his hamstring injury on Aug. 16, almost two months ago. It’s rare for soft-tissue injuries to take this long to recover.

Is there no rush since Wilson has been playing really well as the #2 RB and Brooks is a very capable #3?

Don't get me wrong, as long as they are playing by the rules, I see no reason why they need to rush Lloyd back. Also, given his injury history, if we don't need him, let him heal for a full year and be ready in 2026.
Hard to tell what will happen to him in 2026. I have this feeling that he will never play another down in the NFL except in preseason. Tragic.

We drafted a dude back a couple decades. Lloyd makes me think of him...Justin Harrell, I believe.

If I remember correctly, it was just a bad pick. Based on hope.
He was not a bad player. It was that he was hurt, hurt, and always hurt even in college. Lloyd appears to be following in his footsteps.

Sadly, what happened to Justin is what seems to be happening to Lloyd. It's like the poor guy can't escape being out due to one injury after another.

Was Lloyd always hurt in college?

Not really, his three years he saw 12, 9 and 11 games.

NOW what many refer to is in 2020 in a preseason game for South Carolina he tore it, and then in 2021 played 12 games and then 9 and then 11.

That's a lot different from Justin Harrel I believe. Don't know why the comparison was made except he's having difficulties now.

Folks jump all over draft picks that get injured. Even guys that had issues in college aren't guaranteed to see them in the NFL...fact is though I always and forever will see it as a very short sighted and ignorant stance to hold an NFL injury against a GM for drafting him.

It most certainly depends on different factors. Some are more at risk than others which would affect their draft status for almost any GM. TT thought the risk was worth it. He was very wrong.

Yeah Harrell was one where most had him off their Day1 board except likely the late 20s and obviously the last few of first round likely could justify the risk more.

Because there is this thing called Deja Vu. And let us hope not. And may we never have to compare him to Mr. Operating Table, Lynn ****ey.

So when McManus is healthy and ready to kick again, what do you do with Lucas Havrisik? The guy has kicked 8 times, 4 XP, 4 FG's, and made all 8. Include the 61 yarder and well, we have a real kicking conundrum, but in a good way.

Is their a market to trade Havrisik? Get a 6th or 7th for him? I just don't think he survives a cut and clearing of waivers so that we can try and put him back on our PS. Even if he clears waivers, another team can offer him a sweeter deal to be on their PS.

McManus is just too consistent and too good to even consider trading.

Do you roll the dice and carry 2 kickers on the 53? But I guess to what ends? So that you have the same "problem" next season? Not to mention Lucas Havrisik will be a Free agent after this season.

Anyway, it is a good problem to have, but one that Gute and the Packers have to be thinking about and possibly getting the word out to other teams that Lucas Havrisik might be on the trade block soon.

Ideally, maybe you package him with another player or draft pick, and trade for a quality CB.

I'd like to keep him on the roster until we're sure there is no long term McManus problems. And then I guess try abd trade him

Shoot at this point with our Cornerback room issues is there a team that trade us an outside corner of ANY level LOL....shoot bring Stokes back from Raiders if necessary.

In truth the move that makes the absolute most sense is call the Giants with Gano injury issues and see if they want him and we get Cor'Dale Flott - a corner in his fourth and final year of his rookie deal who is finally playing like a starting corner...but they have Adebo and Deonte Banks and Andru Phillips....and quickly are looking to future.

Another thought similar would be target Alontae Taylor from New Orleans....he is their best corner currently but they have Kool-Aid, Quincy Riley and others there....and they are for sure not in the races....their kicker Grupe hasn't been anything special...maybe they'd do it. In this deal we'd likely have to give up IMO at least something

Hav + 5th for Taylor + 7th maybe.....
