Brief breakdown of Jordan Reid's top 50 (via espn): 6 Quarterbacks 0 Running Backs 2 Tight Ends 10 Wide Receivers 8 Offensive Tackles 3 Interior OL 3 Defensive Tackles 8 Edge Defenders 1 Linebacker 7 Cornerbacks 2 Safeties Very similar breakdown to Jeremiah's, which means either that this class is easy to read or that groupthink is setting in. Biggest differences is that Reid included two safeties to Jeremiah's 0 and only 1 linebacker to Jeremiah's 3. In terms of surprises, Reid's rankings are really chalky. He has Keon Coleman pretty high (23). He also has edge Adisa Isaac at #35, a guy who doesn't crack the top 50 for PFF or Jeremiah. But generally speaking, guys are where they are expected to be which is kind of a bummer. The most annoying thing about media draft coverage is how rarely people are willing to be bold with their beliefs in how they rank players. As an aside, he mentions that he prefers Cooper DeJean as a safety. I am wondering for DeJean would fit with the Packers. On the one hand, he's probably the best tackling DB at the top of the draft and he played a lot in the slot. On the other hand, he played almost exclusively zone coverage.
