I totally agree on playing the hot hand in most cases. Wilson has been a nice surprise, he’s got very good burst and adequate vision. That said and nothing against Wilson. My opinion from mostly film and draft research is we have a very talented Multi faceted RB in Lloyd on board. He still needs to learn the playbook and develop like young grasshopper #33 did. Marshawn by several draft experts was graded as early as Day 1. Day 1 for a RB means his ceiling puts him in that top 1/2 of all starters type impact. Imagine having Josh Jacobs and Lloyd combo with Wilson coming in as a reliever. Now this isn’t specifycslly directed at anything you said because I agree with you.. but only until he’s healthy. He’ll overtake Lloyd in 1/2 season IF focus is applied. The key things stopping his growth are injury and lack of playing time. He needs to get healthy so we can feed him and ramp him for the Postseason. He could very well be our James Starks type formidable and that’s on the lower end. Brian said that 3rd Round selection for the Rasul trade would likely net him a Top 50 prospect on his board. I think he sees Marshawn as a Top 50 overall area player and at a position which importance has waned that’s impressive. Big time yards after contact type player with home run burst. Better vision and higher ceiling than Wilson.. no disrespect to Emmanuel.
