After trading down, the Packers select the pass rusher from South Carolina.

The media clearly liked this guy more than the league across the board.

Unclear if that's because of differences in analysis, or if he has character/injury stuff.

But this late, you've got to like the swing.

He's young relative to this class (22).

14 TFL and 10.5 sacks over the last two seasons (20 games).

Long levered power rusher who is going to go through guys, not around them.

Should have the ability to reduce inside and rush the interior.

He's somewhat similar to Za'Darius when the latter came out of Kentucky. Z was heavier on a smaller frame; Enagbare is a more athletic and has more length to him.

I was bummed to miss Thursday umping and last night part of it at a dinner but man today was fun. Rarely did a guy go that I wasn’t able to give my buddys that their team nabbed em a quick report. Love it.

Smith isn’t a bad comp. Flowers is similar and I like it better. They’re closer, size wise, and both win outside with length.

The more I hear and read about this guy, the more I like. He could turn out to be a steal in this draft. What stands out to me the most is that he is productive against really good teams. This isn't a guy that feeds on Second division type teams, he played in the SEC against teams like Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Kentucky, etc. Larry McCarren seems excited about him.

After watching more film, I was impressed with how strong he is with his big hands and initial leverage.

On many occasions he took on Tackles and just basically tossed them aside almost effortlessly. He has a wiggle move that gets them off balance and then he attacks the weak side and uses momentum well into his favor. These guys he’s beating are legit top rated guys, like Evan Neal as just one example.

I also am impressed with his personality. He comes across genuine and happy to be in GB.
He’s probably good enough to legit compete for that #3/4 spot. Coach Rebrovich eluded to wanting a solid 4 OLB in his rotation. He’s legit good enough as a Rookie to be competing for the 2 open spots. I read he was on some boards as a top 75 Selection. Getting him at #179 was an easy choice. Any one of our 2022 4/5th Rounders could’ve went in the back of Day 2.

I had him as a borderline 2nd rounder early on. I think very highly of him so I’m praying he is everything I envisioned, helps he is good people it seems from all accounts.

Surprising that he fell so far. He seems like a Deatrich Wise Jr. type of player, possibly more.

The first 3 Scouting reports (pre draft) I arbitrarily read had JJ as a Day 2 selection.
My best guess to why teams passed on him is that he had a hip injury that caused some concern. Also his testing numbers were midland at best. Thirdly, I’ve read he’s relatively inconsistent setting the Edge and a tweener (not really a DE, but not really an OLB). I don’t think Scouts intended to say he’s bad, rather bringing a constructive critical evaluation of where he needs to be to morph into a top 50 type player.
That means he could be really good with refining and smoothing the Edges (pun intended)

However the plus is that he is a good natural pass rusher and works hard with a good motor. You can’t teach that part. He’s a guy that could offer some earlier quality snaps as that backup Pass Rush Specialist. He’s a Specialist, but not yet a 3 down Backer. I could see him ramping up into a starter though. Year 2-3?

He probably would’ve went around Rounds 3-4 in many drafts. However, this ‘22 draft was thick in the middle with Day 2 talents because of college holdovers (Co-Vid). Some got pushed well into Day 3. I feel like sliding down the board. The Packers were fortunate to have lots of Day 3 selections to grab guys that slid hard.

He was completely off my board due to testing and him being a bit of a tweener. I know FBS schools grossly embellish their measurements on their athletes, and South Carolina had him everywhere between 255 and 290 lbs. The 5th Round suits him because I don't think many scouts knew exactly what to do with him.

It's crazy to me because as soon as I heard his name I thought of Kingsley Keke and how his stint panned out for us. Enagbare is the opposite where his game is power and Keke was more finesse. However, I don't think he'll find the success in the NFL as he did in the SEC, but I'd love to be wrong. I think his true calling in the NFL is a 4/5T after putting on some muscle.

So, as I suspected he's seen more snaps and chances, but still this is awesome to see.
