Update on Dominique Byrd. Apparently, he was unable to control himself in public and was groping women. One complained to her date/boyfriend who then asked Byrd to stop. Byrd then responded in the savage crimminal fashion he did. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/stories.nsf/rams/story/9AA395CCD14CF5218625723B001AB834?OpenDocument Prosecutors charged Rams rookie tight end Dominique Byrd on Monday with felony assault for allegedly breaking a beer bottle against a man's forehead in an early-morning fracas at a St. Louis bar. Byrd, 22, also was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly grabbing a woman's buttocks in the bar, the Pepper Lounge at 2005 Locust Street. It happened about 1:30 a.m. Monday, police said. Byrd was not arrested at the time, but surrendered after being charged, and was booked, fingerprinted and photographed. On Monday evening, he was in the process of posting bond. He is charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault and armed criminal action. Police said Byrd had grabbed a woman's buttocks in the lounge, and a 30-year-old man nearby had words with him about it. During a brief but heated quarrel, Byrd grabbed a beer bottle and hit the man in the forehead, officials said. The victim suffered two cuts on his forehead and one on his cheek, and went to a hospital for stitches, police said. Byrd suffered a minor cut on his hand and declined medical treatment. Rams head coach Scott Linehan said Monday: "I know he has legal counsel. It's also been turned over to NFL Security. And when it's resolved, I will comment on it" Asked about Byrd's standing with the team, Linehan said: "Until it's resolved legally, there's really no change in status.
