Message: <blockquote data-quote="sschind" data-source="post: 904172" data-attributes="member: 10247">That seems pretty stupid to me.    wouldn't the team who won the toss choose the opponents 1 yard line every time.  Obviously the team that lost the toss would choose to play offense but they would need a heck of a drive just to get into FG range and a d cent drive just to keep the opponent from having great field position.  Seems to me this would give the winner of the toss an even bigger advantage unless I misunderstood the way it works.As far as ties go I wish they would do away with OT all together in the regular season.  Play for 60 minutes and if no one is ahead its a tie.  You would see more exciting play at the end.  If team A ties it with 30 seconds left team B is certainly going to try to score if they know that if they don't its a tie rather than maybe getting a chance in OT.</blockquote>
