    Yes. I was there in late 1963 into 1964. Right at the start. I returned to the States late January of 1964 and took leave about a week before they were on Sullivan. I think I went on leave around the 2nd or 3rd of February. I can't remember the exact date. That's probably why I never heard of them.

    Believe it or not, that was the first time I heard of them. I was home on leave from the Air Force when they appeared. My little brother was telling me about them and how they were big hits. I'd never heard of them. Although I never became a fan of theirs, they did put out some good music.
