got a friend who does it all the time. He's actually huge into sports and knows his stuff. But he doesn't necessarily have favorite teams. Came up last year in the NFL playoffs as he was cheering for any canadian team to win... I was cheering for the Blackhawks. Had to smack talk each other...

ha the best instance was a radio station here in winnipeg had a contest a few years ago to win "an all expenses trip to watch the superbowl in Miami". But when the couple won, they found out that it was a trip to Miami Manitoba (1.5 hours southwest of here) to watch the game in the bar. Huge...

the other thread (petition to get them in) had an article that said it was due to logistics. They bring the IR guys in on thursday due to lack of proper available facilities in Dallas. Apparently normally isn't a big deal but is escalated with the size of our IR this year. Sucks... I think...

this is pretty much the only reason the "bye" week is a good thing for the superbowl. you want to get the two best teams at their best. This will allow for at least some rest and getting rid of a lot of minor bumps an bruises. A-Rod should be find with the extra week.
