don't know why theyd want to keep when at least 2 of the current have not proven enough to not be expendable. Id rather keep an extra defender than an extra wr. More value in the defensive depth.
nice stats, thank you.
hopefully all this catch percentage talk is irrelevant otherwise our new guy doesn't look so good.
Between 2015 and 2018, only two receivers in the NFL with more than 300 total targets caught a lower percentage of those targets than the 51.8 percent Funchess caught with...
I wonder what the average depth of target was for all the other guys? I'm assuming catch percentage drops steadily as the average target depth increases.
just out of curiosit, how many of those targets that did not get completed were considered high percentage passes vs how many were deep balls? Stats don't tell the whole story. Not arguing, just wondering if that data exists.
just watched the highlights of Packers last season on YouTube. I cannot believe how many of the highlights in the first 5 or 6 weeks were MVS. It's mind-blowing how he completely disappeared after making so many impact plays early on. I'm hopeful he gets a fresh start whenever football returns...
is there any analysis, off or whatever, that proves clark is as good as many on this forum seem to think he is. According to the eye test he has some great short stretches followed by disappearing for longer stretches. Average with tons of hype.
no. Clark is not that good. Let some other overpay for him in FA. We shouldn't overpay for a mediocre player simply because we have no replacement for him currently on the roster. Draft a DL in the first this year. Let Clark go. Resign AJ and DB.
Thanks for the recap. All that being said, the packers already have less cap space than they normally carry into a season for emergencies. They normally keep 7.5 million, as you said they are already down to 6.6 million. I wouldn't necessarily call that "usable" at this point. Looking at...
I'm a big support of pushing Rodgers' entire contract back into years after he retires so we can spend all the money now when we have him. I expect to waste 3-5 years with a **** QB after he retires anyway.
There is still moves available to create space.
The clear and obvious one being cutting Lane Taylor. However, there is always the surprise of cutting Linsley.
We could extend Number 69 now, and push a little bit of his current hit forward into future years, free up a little bit. We could...
ok, so whether it's number 1 or number 2 highest paid is not really the point. The point lets not be the team dumb enough to pay an average player as if he's the best...again.
