This guy for one:
"looks like he is coming back in... i hope he gets nailed again. i know its wrong to wish injury upon another player. but... its the vikings and brent so... lets go SAINTS!!!"
They probably were not as good as their record, but they played like a much more cohesive unit and didn't appear to be plagued by the issues we've seen last year and so far this year. In 2007 they did what most teams who make a deep playoff run do, they got hot at the right time and rode some...
They've declined SIGNIFICANTLY since their run 2 years ago when they were one play from the Super Bowl. Since then, a losing season last year and what might shape up to be a very long season this year.
At what point will TT and MM pay for this debacle?
If this season ends 8-8 or 9-7 and no playoffs, next year will be TT's definitive year one way or the other. Another miss next year and he's likely gone. Just doesn't have the successful track record since he's been here to justify continuing with his terrible era.
I completely agree. I'll say that on raw talent alone, I'd take Rodgers over most QB's in the league. However, he needs to show success and progress over a number of years before he comes close to Favre.
Most use Super Bowl wins as the best way to judge. Look at how Dan Marino is always defined as the best QB to never win a Super Bowl. It follows him everywhere.
Too soon to start comparing Rodgers and Favre, I do hope they fix the O-line and give the kid a chance. I may not agree with TT...
