He's got five picks out of the first 91. That's what I'm focused on knocking out of the park. They've got to be on the field from day one and be solid contributors and improvements at the positions are taking over. Not special teams or will bring them along and hope we got something by year three
Yeah, the guy definitely has hardcore guts. Overall he's been much more good than bad. There isn't a GM in the league who hasn't it thrown some clunkers in the draft. He has to knock this draft out of the park though.
I'm withholding a lot of comments on the Jones situation to let the emotion bleed out of it. But at least from a PR standpoint this is shaping up to be a disaster, especially with the news at the Packers wanted at least a 50% pay cut from the guy a year after he gave him back 5 million.
Reading Silverstein alluding to Jones testing the market and then coming back to the Packers to see if they can match or top the offer. If so, this might not be over yet. Keep your fingers crossed!
Just read it on a few sites on sportsspyder. Some big name reporters Pellisero and a couple of others reporting it as a done deal. A bit of a shocker to me. I hope this doesn't indicate Jones being gone.
This one hurts, he'll be missed. Not just a great heart and soul player for this team for many years, but a great guy. Thank you David. I wish you all the best good luck and good health.
