I think a lock Hall of Fame QB calling out young WRs effort at the end of practice for SCOUT team is a good wake up call to the competitive level of the NFL. I also think it's hilarious and awesome that Rodgers cares that much about how his scout team performs.

They allowed 17 points on average the first 8 weeks and Washington started at the GB 38 or something and MIA was at midfield, they both got FGs. That doesn't really compare to allowing a 75 yard TD drive in 3 minutes.

Releasing them doesn't just get rid of them though. Since it seems their injuries were relatively minor and they were IR mostly because GB needed roster spots releasing them gives them a chance to still come back and play at some point later in the season whether it's for us or someone else.

It's fine to point out when the offense isn't helping the defense but you can't just blame the offense for the defense getting tired when they are out there giving up 7-15 play drives consecutively. The defense has responsibility for getting themselves off the field too.
