I agree with that statement. Just imagine the Cowboys, Bears, or Vikings taking home the Lombardi Trophy from Leambeau. I couldn't stand to watch that happen.
Off the field issues aside, the guy has had problems staying healthy in the past. That probably accounts for his down season this year. He's talented, but not a dependable starter. Add in that he might be a distraction in the lockerroom, I'd prefer it if we pass on the guy.
I agree. I would think McNabb would have no problem running that offense, since Childress was the O-coordinator in Philly. The Vikes would have to be in the conversation for the Super Bowl again next year if they do trade for McNabb. He's also a great leader and teammate. He'd fit right in...
It might not be that easy to sign quality free agents this off-season if we don't get a new CBA. If we have an uncapped year, lots of players will lose out on unrestricted free agent status. Just about all of the decent FA's will be restricted.
This is one of the youngest teams in the league, and it showed many times with all of the unforced errors that were committed (penalties, penalties, and more penalties). This season has been a good learning experience for the team. Next year I predict they clean up many of those stupid...
Taylor would fit the Packers system better than McGahee because of his veraltility, but I wouldn't complain if we got either one. Bulaga would be a great pick, but I worry he won't make it to #23. A lot of teams seem to be looking for upgrades in o-line talent, and I think the top prospects...
Holy crap! I make 1 post about the Packer's recent outcomes in playoff games, and the thread turns into another s**tshow.
Jeezuz Christ Hauschild, does every thread have contain a post from you showing your hate for TT. We get it already, you don't like him. That's fine, but you don't have to...
Packers have a history now of spectacular playoff exits. Steve Young's last minute TD to TO in 1999, Favre's 7 INT's in 2002 against the Rams, 4-26 and subequent overtime INT in 2004 versus the Eagles, Favre's overtime pick in 2008 in the NFC champ game, and now Rodgers overtime fumble. They...
I think he's spot on. However, I'm not sure how anyone can give special teams anything other than an F. Crosby had a bad year, Kampanos was average on his best day, and we were giving up a lot of short fields. I predict we start with a clean slate again with the special teams coach and hope...
We should run the table at home this year. The Favre's and Cowboys would be the two toughest games, but the Pack will protect the home turf. Road teams are going to be harder. I predict we're only a .500 road team.
12-4 next year. That should put us in line for the Division crown, maybe a...
In the second half, Capers was trying to get creative with blitz packages. It almost seemed like he conceded the fact we couldn't cover anybody, so he tried to force Warner into making mistakes. The Cards countered with a lot of quick, 3 step drop passes. Since we were blitzing so frequently...
I know a lot of people are pretty pissed about the non-call on the OT fumble, and the no-call on fitz in the endzone. I have to admit though, I've seen worse calls made by refs in the past. Let face it, our D was a sieve. I'm not sweating the no-call on Woodson because the Cards were going to...
There are certain plays that, by rule, are not subject to review, whether it's a coach's challenge or a booth review. Facemask penalties fall into that category. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind that, but that's how it's written into the rule book.
