After watching the breakdown of Love by Kurt Warner, I'm convinced that the Packers can be decent this year. Too inexperienced for world beating but good enough for 9-10 wins. Winning the division would not surprise me because the division is pretty weak, but they won't go deep due to the...
I wouldn't expect much in the way of penalties from WR's and TE's in the passing game. There might be a few on the rookie TE's in the running game, but the bigger concern is not getting their blocking assignments correct. I think the MLF scheme, freed from the Rodgers audibles and hand signals...
I'll play.

I have the offense as above average, because even though Love will make some mistakes due to lack of experience, the tape breakdown shows that he can accurately read his keys, go through the progression and deliver an accurate ball to the open target on time...
100% chance they do. The cap hit if Rodgers retires and doesn't give back the pro-rated portion of the bonus is $100 million. The Packers would have to recover some of that to reduce the cap.
Pretty much zero chance of that. Rodgers would have to pay back the pro-rated portion of his bonus to the Packers (and not just the portion he has left after taxes). The Packers would have to get that money back, otherwise the cap hit is unmanageable. No he's going to give up that much money...
The Packers should win this game. The real question is will the offense actually play in the second half, or will they look like they took sedatives at halftime again?
Rodgers was declining by most metrics and by the eye test. His deep ball accuracy was a shadow of what it was before. In that light, picking a QB in the first was reasonable. Rodgers himself agreed he wasn't playing up to his standards and rededicated himself to his conditioning and his craft...
It's not a matter of writing him off, just assessing what he is showing now vs projecting where he is going.
Draft position is completely irrelevant. This isn't a high school test being graded on a curve. The only thing that counts is can he play, and can he win for the Packers.
Two things. 1) It's not that Love can't make good throws, clearly he can. It's about consistency, and making accurate throws on the the basic ones. I was listening on the radio and on the first or second drive Love missed a throw and McCarren was going on about how it's a throw an NFL QB just...
