Alright chaps, reasonably odd question but here we go!
I'll be finished Uni' in June and I've job starting in January of 2010... basically I've 6 months to kill with a guaranteed job at the end of it. I'm trying to sort out my last mad student summer at the moment, toying with just cycling...
Evening chaps,
I'm going to be in San Francisco when the Packers are due to play them in their second Pre-Season game. Now I know pre-seasoners aren't very exciting but I dont think I'll get a chance to see another packers game this year so this will have to do me! Besides, I look forward to...
I was checking nfl.com to see what the latest was in the offseason (which is very quiet btw!) and it hit me.... no more Favre. I hadn't really though about it since he retired, I just kinda said, well it was going to happen at some stage. But it just hit me that the one reason I fell in love...
Would you believe the retirement of Brett Favre was important enough to be in the sports secion of the BBC.co.uk today??? International recognition of the retirement of a great sportsman. I think the last american person mentioned over here like this was one Micheal Jordan! Check it out...
... now I have 3 more useless jerseys!!!
a favre home, away and the gold jersey.... USELESS!!!! I can add them to the Green#30, Franks#88 and Sharper#42 jerseys at the back of my closet....
...sniff...
Favre finally gone, with the respected title of "most indecisive man in the NFL".
How is this going to affect the Off-Season moves by McCarthy and the Packers draft day picks.
People say Arron is the way of the future, but I still think looking for another QB is not a bad idea.
Hell yes! Super Saturday this saturday!
Ireland vs Wales next Saturday in croker!!! Potential 6 nations decider.
Wales are on top at the moment, but ireland are finally starting to get it together so it should be a very good game!
It is the end of an era all the same if he does quit... I mean all things aside, Its hard to think of a single player in "any" sport who has had such an aura surrounding them like Brett has. He is almost unique, I mean who can you compare him to in modern sports?
Perhaps Keith Wood or Sean...
