    How about that? Coach fired.

Like all the sports forums, I hope this kind of situation will silence those that use the 'they're professionals' excuse for clearly bad choices by GMs and coaches.

Pretend you don't know who we're talking about. If someone just told you there's a LB with the following PER YEAR stats with a team, how impressed would you be (overall, not even to mention the 5th overall pick)? INT 1 FF .5 FR .5 Sack 2 TFL 6+ QB hits 4 DPOY 3rd PB 1 (2010) T (nobody...

In line with the general theme of the discussion, there's no way anyone could not agree with the whole last sentence. Some (maybe just me?) have felt, though, that he was a hard-working, lunch-pail kind of guy who made a bunch of downfield tackles with not a whole lot of impact. Perhaps I just...

Don't really follow. Which of the guys at the bottom of the 2006 draft make up for the choice of Hawk's production with the #5 pick?

Outside of #5-7. which we painful to remember, have to agree that only folks bored enough to really watch PS games would have heard of most of the rest. :)

    2024 Clusters

Okay. Guess I was leaning more toward (1) knowing what you're getting and (2) not having to develope him as much/long as the younger ones.

Not any kind of draftnick, but I am curious about the age factor. I can understand if we're talking about a RB or any position where a rookie would be starting to hit the wall at the end of the first contract, but for OL, which normally play well into their 30s, what's the concern?

    Let’s have a serious conversation…aka ditch Anders

When I saw "comparing a kickers", I didn't make the connection to all kickers. That would be 89.1% for that type of FG and 94.2% for XP.

Not sure what's missing from the post to which you replied, but since Carlson was 100 inside the 40 on FG (including playoffs), he was 100% from 30-40. His XP numbers were 87.2% (34/39) in the season and 87.5% (7/8) in the playoffs.

Who is our #2 RB this year?

Did we have more than one? The Time Lewis I remember from that timeframe was a great CB with a bunch of INTs who played every game for over three years until and injury forced him out.

    Packers OL Types

Boomer here. Would be fine commenting, but to what are you referring? The only play I remember involving Starr with the ball and with any significance is the end of the Ice Bowl, and that's obviously not what you're talking about here. Need a little more detail.

Oh, sure. The way I read your previous response was that the professionals are always right and us folks who decided to follow a different career path wouldn't be able to make good player choices. There were those here who wondered about Myers over Humphrey, and it looks like they were right...
