No kidding, right? I mean if respected players like Merriman and Leinart, which by the way have done an excellent job building their franchises, know what to do with the Favre situation, what more does Thompson need to hear?
Yeah, I wish I could just fast forward to August 8th and the first preseason game. We might actually have something worthwhile to argue about.
This is heartwrenching to watch.
To me, it's not weird at all. Mentoring Rodgers through the first year would be great.
Why did Brett say he was tired? From all the work Tuesday through Saturday. He wouldn't nearly have to do as much work as the starting QB, just teaching Rodgers what to look for. I would be all for Favre...
I was just going to post something about this. I was a huge Bulls fan, thought as long as they had Jordan, the Bulls wouldn't lose (they didn't really). But like you said, I don't even remember him with the Wizards, the plays he made with Bulls were all that mattered.
The difference with...
Agreed, it is a tough call. Favre has extremely high points and low points while Peyton is more on an even keel. At least we can agree that Brady is grossly overrated.

This is not going to end til the season starts.
Back on topic, Favre hasn't released a statement saying he wants to return. Why should the organization release a statement if they want him back or not? I hate this journalism/media crap.
I don't think he will be, but maybe that is just wishful thinking. Working behind the most gunslinging QB in the game, and seeing the way he scrambled in the Dallas game, I think Rodgers will definitely have a mind of his own. He just doesn't have that personality of a cookie-cutter QB, IMO.
