True, they were on top in the 50s. The decline of the brewing/taste started in the 60s but they were still pretty dominant. They really fouled it up in the 70s.

That was the beer of the 60s. I bet you that Nitschke would flash his smile at a cool, refreshing Schlitz.

    De'Vondre Campbell signing

That's a helpful stat. As for the free agency part though, he's certainly not a first wave FA. However, some of these second/third wave guys then sit out until training camp to get onto a team with an injury need. It's part of the game and not necessarily a sign that they have nothing left. As...

    De'Vondre Campbell signing

On Friday I listened to the Tom Silverstein podcast on my drive down to Milwaukee. He said that he spoke with a scout who was very familiar with Campbell. That scout said that he did very well in coverage. His length is a big asset. I don't really know who to believe but it's at least...

I think what Love has going for him over Trevor Lawrence is the supporting cast. The Jaguars have been jettisoning their players for years and went 1-15 last season. The Packers were in the NFC Championship game, have a strong running attack, a good O-line, a good WR group, a young & innovative...

    Top Favre Games

I watched one of those NFL Network shows about Brett Favre's top 10 games. They listed most of the usual ones, such as the Raiders game after his dad passed away, the Super Bowl win, etc. They had to list a bunch of his games with the Vikings and Jets as well. However, IMO they missed one of the...

Rodgers reportedly disgruntled, does not want to return to the Packers

I agree in that I've never been onboard with the GMs that don't have those conversations. They don't need to be the macho, business men all of the time. Calling the guys and letting them know that you are letting them go is the mature thing to do. Some of these guys just don't have the nuts to...

I bet that the coaches and players would love me too, but I'm not going to win any games for them.

Did you really ignore the cheesy, sarcastic smile at the end of my sentence?

    The Jordan Love Thread

That is a great article, giving a good background on the guy instead of just his stats. It sounds like he is a more level-headed version of a young Brett Favre. He's got the moxy to make bold plays, the ability to do it, yet is less of a goof-ball -- which may mean that he is more coachable than...

100% accurate. I remember all of the hate for Aaron Rodgers. Some of it was due to the Favre saga but Rodgers rarely looked good in training camps or pre-season games. Make no mistake, Love is going to struggle. Hopefully he has been studying the sh!t out of the playbook for the past year.

Rodgers reportedly disgruntled, does not want to return to the Packers

Rodgers is blinded by his friendship with Nelson. Jordy Nelson gave up on the Packers in 2017 and was running out of steam. Even with a veteran minimum contract, he was not the kind of player that should have been on the roster. I would rather have had a young WR fighting to be better than a WR...

    De'Vondre Campbell signing

A little love for a former Golden Gopher making it in the NFL. IMO Campbell is a slightly better Blake Martinez, but just in the way he sticks his nose in to stop the run means that he tends to make tackles closer to the line of scrimmage. I like the signing. It gives us some better depth at a...

    A massive thank you

It appears that reports of your demise were greatly exaggerated

    It’s Time!

If I were Jordan Love, I would actually be okay with Rodgers getting what he wants. That would mean learning the game under one of the greatest for even longer. It would also mean that Love would be highly coveted towards the end of rookie contract, similar to Garapolo.
