    NFL Player's Associaton report card

Yeah, as noted above, the Yahoo report subs in the Detroit grades for ours.

    NFL Player's Associaton report card

OMG, a little digging reveals that the Yahoo report just subbed in the grades for Detroit Lions instead of the Pack. That's foul!!

    NFL Player's Associaton report card

This is interesting -- that Yahoo link and screenshot is actually NOT the same as is reported on the NFLPA's own site, it's bogus. The source site has Head Coach at a B+, and Ownership at an A: https://nflpa.com/green-bay-packers-report-card-2024

    Top Needs of the Off-Season

I'm not sure this is true about ILBs -- most of those anchor-level guys play more than 90% of the snaps, including lots of big-name guys at 95-100%. If we could get our hands on a real killer, I think ILB is the spot.

Packers Hire New Defensive Coordinator: Jeff Hafley, formerly Head Coach, Boston College

I appreciate that, and I will acknowledge that you have a long track record of well-founded opinions on this board. Except when we disagree (haha).

Amazing auto-censorship there! Leaning too hard....um...on familiarity.

Packers Hire New Defensive Coordinator: Jeff Hafley, formerly Head Coach, Boston College

I can hear you - but for sure I look differently at the Rich Bisaccia hire (no pre-existing relationship) vs the Joe Barry hire (reportedly "good friends"). I would be more comfortable if MLF had a visible track record of excellent hiring/retention decisions at this level. Maybe he's learning, I...

Packers Hire New Defensive Coordinator: Jeff Hafley, formerly Head Coach, Boston College

For me it's not "upset," but it's definitely got me nervous. I don't think that's absurd at all, even if you disagree - it carries a possibility of confirmation bias as well as loyalty that can affect decision-making. Not saying thats a guarantee, but if you've ever worked in environments where...

Packers Hire New Defensive Coordinator: Jeff Hafley, formerly Head Coach, Boston College

Maybe he'll be great, I'm absolutely willing to reserve judgment and see, but I gotta be honest the "good friend of LaFleur" line popping up in these reports has me very, very nervous.

    Defensive Coordinator Candidates

Hey I wrote Durde. Names matter, thanks for nothing autocorrect.

    Defensive Coordinator Candidates

I'm happy to see younger names in that interview list - I don't know much about the position coaches (so far Babich, Durden, Parker) other than what I read once their interviews were reported - but I like the concept of going with someone young, hungry, and not looking in the rear view mirror...

    Cowboy studs n duds...kicker doesn't count

Man, everyone's a stud, but raise one to the O line. NO sacks. Some of that is Love's incredible presence of mind, but....damn. Was it Zach Tom on Parsons most of the time? Last four games, Love has been sacked a total of....two times. Two sacks in four games. This is sick. I hope they can...

2023 season finale vs the Bears: Win and in edition part deux

This is very sensible and my brain will find a way to agree if it's consulted -- but I know when the game starts I just want the field strewn with Bear carcasses and to win 76-0 (10 tds and 3 safeties obviously).

    Vikings studs n duds

Receiving yards. But if we count return yards we better count fumbles too.

    Vikings studs n duds

No, man, Melton had more yards and TDs in that game than Amari Rodgers had TOTAL as a Packer!
