Overall, a fantastic win which ended up just a little too close for my personal comfort. Go Pack Go!
We're almost certainly going to get Troy Aikman for the second straight week. Hopefully the ALCS has started by then so we don't have to suffer through Joe Buck as well.
I may be in the minority here, but I'd love to see the Raiders move to Las Vegas. The Raiders currently play in a sewage-filled dump. It would be fun to have a team in Las Vegas. It doesn't matter where they get a new stadium; taxes are inevitable.
On the other hand, I'd like to see San Diego...
Thanks thanks thanks! I should have known this. I actually remember reading this in the past, but it totally slipped my mind.
On a side note, I have a 2000 NFL Record & Fact Book where the book explains the scheduling procedures for the then-31-team NFL. Boy those are convoluted!
All this talk about Beckham makes me think that he's going to have a big night. Eli's probably going to look for him a lot to try to make him happy. If the Packers are able to keep him in check, they should have a good chance at winning, but if Beckham goes off, it may be a repeat of past years.
I apologize for talking about old stuff with the Packers, I just have such a great interest in football history. Anyway, I noticed the 1989 Packers schedule - http://www.jt-sw.com/football/pro/results.nsf/Teams/1989-gb - includes two games between the Packers and Cowboys. Does anyone know why...
I found a larger picture. This gives a better perspective, but to be honest, I'm still not sure what side it is.
I shudder when I see these pics because the lettering is pretty embarrassing. I'm glad we were able to fix that up.
The NFL still owes us one for the "Fail Mary," so I don't feel too bad about getting the calls early on in this season. However, it concerns me a bit that the Packers are relying so much on getting the PI calls rather than making the plays. As for the rule, I'd like to see a hybrid of the...
13-3 doesn't matter much to me, not after what happened in 2011. The Packers are probably equal home and away when it comes to the playoffs; the Lambeau invincibility is over. I'd take a 9-7 wild-card with a strong defense over a 13-3 bye with no defense. It's all about the defense; so far, I'm...
I finally made my first trip to Lambeau last season, getting to see the victory over the Rams. Aside from it being one of the greatest experiences of my life, I'm curious about how Lambeau Field used to look before the renovations. I've found this picture:
Quite obviously, the stadium looks...
How about the whopper of a stat FOX Sports 1 had this morning- "Peyton Manning scores on rushing attempts more often than Geno Smith scores on passing attempts." Of course, that's because Peyton never runs the ball, pretty much ever. I love statistics, I used to be obsessed with them, but I've...
Frankly, I'm embarrassed. I don't understand how this is even happening. I thought the season ticket waiting list was supposedly like 100,000 names? Is the economy really that bad? I gladly paid the same amount for tickets to a regular-season game in Cincinnati. And I'm seriously contemplating...
Gonzalez should have forced a trade back to KC this year, in order to have a storybook finish. If the Falcons don't make that miracle drive in the final seconds against Seattle last year (of which he was a big part), Gonzalez finishes his career without a playoff win. I think after he resigned...
