I always thought that balanced teams win championships. I mean, all of those teams have good defenses, but lackluster offenses. An injured Roethlisberger, Joe Flacco, or a 3rd-string QB isn't going to scare anybody.
The Packers should hire a mathematician to figure out the worst possible record to get in the playoffs in this league. Factor in all of the variables, you know?
I'm looking forward to the Saints rematch at Lambeau Field. I'm hoping the game occurs late in the season, however.
And then, the...
I agree. The Packers of the 60s established the run quite often. The championship teams were about equal in terms of passing and rushing yardage, and they had 181 and 148 yards rushing in the 1961 and 1962 NFL championships respectively, both games being cold-weather games (17 degrees in 1961...
I'm guessing the score would've been 77-75 Packers, considering the 2 awful defenses. I think the Packers would've had the edge because they have a better WR corps than the Patriots do, but Brady and Gronk would've had a career day.
Also, imagine dealing with the troll Patriots fans who...
Oh, right. Forgot about that.
Still, though, the Giants have to beat the Cowboys and the Lions to make it to Green Bay, and you shouldn't just assume they'll win both by bragging about it on opposing teams' forums.
Maybe it's a better idea to brag after the Giants first beat the Cowboys. Then the Lions. Then the 49ers, which you lost to. Because the only way they face the Packers again is in the NFC Championship.
Hey, I don't hate the Steelers. I just hate the ignorant fans who believe that 9 of our 13 championships don't count because we earned them before the merger, despite the fact that Pittsburgh not only played, but played and sucked, in the NFL from 1933 to 1972. Along with the fans who beat their...
If there's going to be any kind of rivalry between Green Bay and Pittsburgh, the main media point is going to be Rodgers vs. the Steel Curtain instead of Rodgers vs. Ben, because the main characteristic of Green Bay is their offense and Rodgers, and the main characteristic of Pittsburgh is their...
"Hmmm... If I become a Packers Fan... then the Vikes might have a new stadium! Great idea! Gimme that cheesehead hat. It's gonna hurt, but if it's for the good of the franchise..."
A great deal of time later, the Vikes move into their new stadium.
"Did you hear? The Minnesota Vikings finally...
I'm pretty sure he misinterpreted that number one job as "Defeat Brett Favre", because Favre was 1-5 against Lovie (2-6 if you count his Vikings year). Rodgers is 7-2 against the Bears.
