I wasn't suggesting switching back this year as that would be a disaster. But I guess what I'm saying is it just seems we don't have the personnel to run a 3-4 due to the lack of quality down linemen. As for Matthews having to play DE, that is not true, he could easily play outside LB as that is...
It seems to me that we just don't have the right personnel to run a 3-4 defense. Yes, we do have the speed and athleticism at the outside edge rushers in Matthews and company, but we definitely do not have the right people playing down on the line. We can't seem to get any consistent inside...
Did I miss something? Was Driver inactive for yesterday's game? I never saw him on the field. If they are not going to play him then why did they re-sign him? That money could have been spent in other areas of need. Based on his career and reputation of having great hands, I can think of more...
Just general thoughts here looking ahead to next season and the Packers prospects...
The NFC North should be the best division in the NFC and maybe the entire league. The Lions aren't going anywhere but up if they can upgrade the defense (sound familiar Packers fans?) The Bears will get Cutler...
The first two or three draft picks better be defensive players.
Let Finley go but keep Driver at least one more season for his leadership if nothing else.
Skippy Bayless just insinuated that Favre's numbers from his three MVP seasons (95-97) are better than what Rodgers has done the past three seasons (2009-2011). Let us take a closer look at these numbers and compare:
Favre - Yards: 12,179 TD's: 112 Int: 42 Comp%: 61 Avg Rating: 96
Rodgers -...
It's all very simple - a lot of Brees numbers have been manufactured late during blowout wins while Rodgers has been either pulled out of games or went conservative late in games to run out the clock and secure the victory. Nothing against Brees because he is only calling the plays his coach...
Well, the Packers worst nightmare is coming to Lambeau. The one team I didn't want to see in the playoffs is looking very strong as of late. Their defensive front is scary and the running game is just good enough to keep Rodgers off the field. Our defense really needs to step up next Sunday.
Chris Collinsworth has an MVP vote and he voted for Rodgers. Phil Sims also agrees. See the clip from Showtime's Inside the NFL. I honestly think Rodgers is going to win the award and it's not even going to be close.

Once again Skip is contradicting himself. His argument against Rodgers is that he has one of the best receiving corps in the league and that is why he is able to put up such great numbers. Now, apparently he doesn't?
