    The Offense Lacking Comeback Mentality

Remember the offense in 2015 when Jordy was out for the season? We lacked the ability to consistently take the top off of a defense. When you are playing for a comeback, you have to have the big strike ability or at least the personnel to threaten the big play, to keep a defense in check. That...

I was particularity talking about the first half, not necessarily the entire game. The offense found rhythm in the second half which is expected for game 1. Rarely is the offense ahead of the defense in week 1. But you are right, we only gave up 48 offensive plays, 26 of which were in the first...

    Trust me, I don't. :)

Yep, which is why I think the 10 points is simply fools gold, as we know watching last season unfold. They gave up a lot of yards in that game and were saved by TO's. Sunday's defensive performance was entirely different. They gave up 130 less yards and were on the field a total of 20 less...

Right, but you can't judge how one team played in week 15 of last year to one that played in week 1 of this year, by simply looking at the score. There are multiple scenarios to look at. For example, last year our offense put up 38 points and was able to sustain drive after drive from the first...

While I also am not ready to crown the defense yet I do think you undersold the Seattle offense a bit. This is still an offense with 6 Pro-Bowlers on that side of the ball. They are working with a piecemeal OL this season but overall they'll be fine offensively. While I do agree with you about...

    Packers 1st round ...A trade 29 for 33 and 108

No s***. We have Barclay listed as our backup at both left and right guard, Forrest Lamp sitting right in our lap, and we'll select frigging Kizer.

NFCCG 2016 -- revenge tour goes to Atlanta!!

I'm sorry, but I can't at all see Dan sitting over there saying he'd love to get into shootout with Aaron and the streak he's been on. Not happening. Especially under a guise of 'well maybe we'll get a turnover' from a guy who has a 40 to 7 TD-INT ratio this season. Dan Quinn wants the Green Bay...

NFCCG 2016 -- revenge tour goes to Atlanta!!

Not a bad match up all things considered. J.Jones is dealing with a nagging injury. Same goes with Vic Beasley. Adrian Clayborn is also out the rest of the playoffs with a torn bicep. The big thing in our favor is just having Aaron on the other sideline, should bridle some of Atlanta's...

    Trade Matthews

Their size won't allow them to adapt much IMO. Jared Allen had the same issue at his position. J.Peppers longevity in being able to play DE at a decently high level until he is 38, can be attributed solely to him being a physical freak. 6'7 290lbs. Peppers is a once in a generation type athlete...

    All Injuries Thread

Also, it is being reported that Jordy was sent home. Wouldn't a punctured/collapsed lung and lacerated spleen require surgery and post op surveillance? Heck, even some rib injuries require it as well. I'll take that as good news also...

    All Injuries Thread

Just reading tea leaves here but I doubt that a man with broken ribs and/or collapsed lungs/lacerated spleen, would have the expectation of being a practice on Saturday. Or even the possibility of him practicing. It could be MM's way of not letting Dallas know Jordy's status right now, but this...

    Peppers and Hyde

Was it me or was Peppers a little more animated yesterday? I remember twice where he jumped the snapped when the play clock was winding down knowing the Giants were either going to take a penalty or have to snap it and he'd get a jump on the play. I saw him on the sidelines running on to the...

    2016 Playoffs round 1 -- Giants

In all honesty, I would worry less about who's going to cover Cruz and Shepard, and focus more on getting to Eli. Our secondary just needs to be serviceable if we can pressure Eli. I think that's our best chance rather than expecting our secondary to play above the norm.

    2016 Playoffs round 1 -- Giants

This game scares the heck out of me. The determining factor is going to be how our DB's match up against OBJ, Sterling Shepherd, Cruz and Eli. We're depleted. Our guys have to step up.
