It'd be easier if it were top 10 but top 5 makes it more interesting. Here are my top 5.
    5 Ted roflmao
    4 A few good men
    3 Good Morning Vietnam
    2 Men of Honor
1 Dead Poet Society the best Robin Williams movie IMO.
IMO Patch was one of his top 5 movies & though it was based off a true story it didn't make my top 5.

    WOW!
I just finally watched ******* Island this week.... it was horrible as the reviews from the fans had it!
Like all the others you listed that I have seen, but Shutter Island, nope.
Dicaprio is a great actor though, but he's been in a half-dozen+ better films than that box office flop!

Hmm. Me and my friend liked it. But I've heard a lot of people saying like the same thing you did. Why didn't you like it?

When you watch Shutter Island a second time you catch so much. You are literally thinking the entire time, it keeps throwing new information at you nonstop. You have to keep processing and it never gives you time to fully digest what you are thinking. There is nonstop dialogue which makes it very tough to like, an acquired taste if you will.

I don't like movies where the whole thing turned out to be a dream or something like that...... I need resolution.
And usually I like movies with happy endings, neat & tidy.
I think a lot of people do, which must be why the "People Ratings" are so low.

It WAS interesting, and unique, I will give ya that!

Well Inception had a "dream" ending. And that had really good reviews. I don't get it....

True. Perhaps because Inception was really different, exciting? And a hot girl in that one, unlike Shutter.
Every movie needs some eye candy!

Haha yes! Like Emma Stone in Zombieland, or Megan Fox in Transformers!

And Shutter Island had the main actor and a similar script as Inception. So it kind of was a copy-cat.
