What people forget about in that Atlanta game was the even though the Vikings were 15-1 in the season the Falcons were 14-2. It's not like they lost to a 10-6 wild card team. Also, the game wasn't lost on Anderson's field goal. The Vikings had a 7 point lead at the time, so to just blame Anderson is disingenuous at best. The Field goal would have given them a 10 point lead. Doesn't make it any easier, it's like blaming Favre for the loss to the Giants.....Oh wait...Packer fans do.

    NFL Championships....Packers 13 -- Bears 10 -- Lions -- 4 Vikings -- 0

Name another NFL team that has been in the league as long as the Vikings with no NFL championship? The Vikings have never won anything. I don't care how many times they have come close, or how good they are on an average. The fact is they have never won a championship. Arguing anything else is semantics.

LOL did he lose the Saints game? No, he didnt lose those games by himself..

But he did have the ball in his hands at the end, and a future HOF q/b shouldnt make the mistakes he did.

    Deja vu.

Hate is such a strong word. I don't hate any football fans - as a group. Our rivalry with the Vikings makes the NFL and the Packers, more interesting. So, I for one, am happy that the Vikings are in our division. Happy that the Bears are here as well, and I hope the Lions improve so that our rivalry with them becomes a bit more interesting as well.

Vikings do have one championship it is listed in the record books even though the lost to KC in the SB

Its a very odd thing but I have understood it was a championship

I guess its arguing what you consider a championship. I see the argument.....in my opinion the Chiefs would be the "league" champion even though the Vikes would have technically been the NFL champion. Its like winning the pennant in baseball but not winning the World Series. Really who cares who finishes second. Lol

Hmmm...would that then make the Packers 15 time champions?

I never thought about it before, but I guess they do have 1 championship. No other team in the league would ever count it, but when you are a Viking fan you have to take whatever you can get.

Actually that would be correct. Since the first 4 Super Bowl were not NFL only games they could not be NFL championship games. And I really don't know why so many Packers fans don't understand that. Unless of course they are willing to give up two championship just so they can claim the Vikings don't have one.

One of these days I am going to find that quote from Lombardi about playing in the first AFL-NFL Championship game. Basically he said something to the effect "We already won the NFL championship, why the hell do we have to play another game".

BTW, don't we go through this every year? You can always tell when the season is about to start. People get testy.

No, he did not, the fumbles did more damage than the interceptions in my book. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter to me. I will never blame a loss on any one player. It's a team game and it takes a team to win and lose.

Packers who have taken the sole blame in losses from fans.

Brett Favre, Al Harris, Ahman Green, Crosby, MM, ect

Unlike some fans, I stay here year round. And yes, WE ALL get testy just before the season starts. It's called being a fan.

Wow. And the season hasn't really started yet and already we're getting smack talk!

I don't go onto opposing team's boards and write "You guys suck. We are going to beat you so bad and we are going to the Super Bowl and we are the BEST TEAM EVER!!!" or any other trolling crap like that.

Go back and look at the first post and you will see it was started by a Vikings fan.
Yes, he was being friendly, but somehow it opened up a can of worms that was nice and peaceful when it was closed.
Like I mentioned, I don't go onto other boards and stir up trouble.
For some reason, that's what opposing fans like to do here.
I don't get it. I just don't. Why do they feel the need to come on here and trash talk?
Why do it especially to a SB winning team?
(Of course they scattered like cockroaches right after the Packers beat their teams.)
For now they are hibernating and if/when the Packers play them, they may come on here before the game or not at all which is what I prefer.

I never got that either. Perhaps it's the thrill of trash-talking that gets them going, like somehow saying "PACKERS SUCK! OH YEAH, WE'RE GUNNA BEAT YO' AZZ SO BAD THIS YEAR! WATCH OUT FO' US!" right in their face makes them a better man. I don't do go onto other boards and trash-talk their team, because it's stupid and petty. If there's any other reason to visit an opposing team's board, it's to discuss football, their team's strengths and weaknesses, and stuff like that. And as for the trash talk, I prefer to let the success and the field do the talking.

I like having Viking fans around for an occasional futile jab. It's almost as comical as the team itself. :viksux:

Bears fans don't need to chest bump and talk smack to feel better about themselves because their franchise has been successful and won championships. Vikings fans are wanna bes and jealous of our teams success.
