Ugh.... that's what I get for poking fun at the Scottish jersey (trikot). Here's the USA away jersey for Brazil. Looks like a Bomb (Firecracker) Popsickle I used to buy as a kid.

******* Nike. Our flag isn't even on there.

Wow, this is bad. Whats wrong with all these designers at adidas or Nike?
Apparently it has to be colourful and loud this year?

The real question for the upcoming World Cup isn't just the weird designs, but also the weird stadiums. Will Brazil have them ready in time and will they be safe?

The late ramshackle way the stadiums were built with the concrete hardly dry is a concern, not only that along with the countrys infrastructure with all the thousands of fans to deal with i think there will be problems. The vast cost for hosting these events is it justifiable for a Third World nation? Giving Brazil both the World Cup and the Olympics........I'm not so sure they should have got them at all, even a great number of Brazillians are of the same opinion.

Edit : What a shambles and another Death, disgraceful.

Similar to what PF71 said above, I think Brazil clearly bit off more than they could chew. I think there will be some problems, not withstanding the lengths that some teams fans will have to travel just within Brazil. The USA team will travel more miles to play their games than any other team, and the city choices were quite poor.

We saw the protests from the Brazilians last year, and it's not because they don't like soccer. They protested because they pay 1st world taxes, but receive 3rd world services in return for the amount of tax that they pay. And when the Brazilian gov't decided to pay a lot of tax money to fund the stadiums, the people rioted. They should have seen that coming. And now, the stadiums are WAYYYYYYY behind schedule, and the stadium that will host the opener, is the one in worst shape.

Time to save face and disaster and pull the Qatar one away. How many workers have died working on those stadiums already? Way too many, and they treat their workers like slaves. FIFA needs an overhaul.

But I'm basically in the center politically, so Arizona doesn't fit me. :D

Agreed the rating system is laughable, beating Germany for example is of the same value as beating The Faroes........a joke.

Is Greece really that good??

No ugly counter attack uber defensive and bus parkingly boring football, sneakily winning by one goal and getting to the next round when they should be home before the postcards. Other than that they are superb. :D

I remember when Ronaldinho kicked one UNDER the wall in a CL game and the German commentator... (Guenther Jauch)... called him a "Schlitzohr." "He does it because he can!"

This is my personal favorite.

Even when Fulgencio Batista was running it as a casino? The Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union not Russia.
If you`re going to be pedantic, Ukraine was part of the U.S.S.R., or THE Union of Soviet Socialist Russia ;). Good attempt at a save, but I think he scored the rebound :D.
